It's easy to get caught up in all the problems that complicate our lives; sometimes we forget just how lucky we are to have what it is we do have. I've found it grounding, personally, to take a moment periodically to ruminate over the things in my life that bring me health and happiness, and actively appreciate those things.

So, what good things in your life go underappreciated when it is you get lost in the struggles you are faced with?

I'll start:

I'm glad I'm a part of this glorious existence.
I'm glad for the summer sun, and the wistful and cheerful feelings it conjures in me.
I'm glad to have loving people in my life; my family, my friends, and myself.
I'm glad I get to go to school.
I'm glad that libraries exist, and they are free to use.
I am happy that I do not have to face more oppression than I do now.
I'm happy I have three loving cats, who I love.
I'm glad that the person I will most love in this world exists somewhere, right now.

I could go on for a while- I've done lists of 100 things I am grateful for in the past- but I think it's your turn.

:3

Psst... I'm also happy to know the good people here. ;)

1. My parents and the fact that they chose me over themselves all their life.

2. My best friend who made my high school experience a memorable and less traumatic one

3. My mind and that I can think

4. My ability to be decent at just everything I set my mind to

5. The fact that I only walked away with a bad leg after my accident when it could have been much worse

6. The fact that I'm a dual citizen - means I get the best of both worlds [it's true :)]

7. That I had the physical and mental capabilities and got the opportunities to make something of myself so that one day I can do something to alleviate their suffering [I hope I get the opportunity]

8. That I go to bed every night so that I can live to fight another day.

9. Making new amazing friends on PerC

10. Getting a chance to re-do my life ... so what if I'm 30.

I am grateful for yummy food!

I am grateful for all of my pets. I love my babies.

I am grateful that my parents are so supportive of me even after everything they put me through...that things could just go back to being normal again.

I am grateful that I am alive, just getting to experience life, even the crappy parts.

I am grateful for the beauty that is nature.

I am grateful for my fast metabolism because I'd probably be a fat cow without it. Just kidding.

I am grateful to be living in this country (America).

I suppose I should be grateful for my entire existence, financial independence, fairly supportive family (now...it took long enough >_>) and stuff I own.

But its hard to be sincere when all my friends leave and never talk to me and leave me feeling forgotten and alone.

I watched my cat get put to sleep today and I'm grateful for every moment I got to spend with her. It's a terribly sad day for me but I want to celebrate her life through mine and keep growing as a person. Love you sweeterz <3

I'm glad I have such amazing friends
I'm glad I have such a great boyfriend
I'm always grateful when I feel happy. - That sounds a bit doom and gloom, I don't mean it like that, I just mean I always notice when I'm really happy and think "this is brilliant".

Love this thread.

Some of the long list of things I am grateful for are:

Life itself.
Books.
Friends, amazing friends.
PerC.
My education.
My loving boyfriend.
Beauty around me daily.
My clients.
My pets that bring me joy.
Roof over my head.
Health.
Family.
Days off, vacations.
Opportunities.
Music.
Ability to learn even more.
Dancing.
The journey.
Nature.
Creativity.
Income.
Abundance.
Acceptance.
Understanding.

Well, I could go on and on. I believe in daily living an attitude of gratitude. Again love this thread.

That

...most of the universe is uninhabitable, and yet here I am, safe :) (stolen from moonjuice).
...both of my roommates are out of town, leaving the house all to me for a lovely evening alone after much too long.
...the people in my family all love me and do their best to support me, even when they don't understand my choices.
...my boyfriend is so so supportive and is dreamy and confident and I learn from him every time we speak. Whatever happens next year, I am lucky to have been in a close relationship with him.
...it is summer and I can go outside and I never have to feel cold.
...I am healthy enough and strong enough to help with working on the foundation of the house tomorrow.
...the way that S laughed at dinner when I said I could never have kids without her support.
...my bed that I am going to fall asleep in right now...

Yah, boobs are awesome. I like having them. :)

As for what I'm thankful for, I'm happy that my next-door-neighbor-who-left-his-wife-for-a-stripper-and-throws-loud-obnoxious-pool-parties-in-the-summer, limited tonight's party to only an hour or so. I have a headache so the peace and quite is much appreciated.

Didn't realize I have helped that much in that manor to receive such a powerful mention. I thank you for the mention and reciprocate the feeling.
