So when I first became acquainted with Myers Briggs I learned that INFP is the most social-justice oriented type, the most likely to be a "moral crusader". My initial impression was that most INFJs were supportive of social causes, but not as automatically drawn to them. This holds true with the people I know who have tested as each type.

However, the way I hear a lot of people describe the two types seems to reverse this. As an example, Lisa Simpson strikes me as the epitome of INFP-ness, since she's so inclined to adopt causes like vegetarianism/environmentalism/feminism and fight for them, but she seems to be almost universally typed as INFJ.

Any thoughts on this? I know these types can be easily mixed up or test as one another. I'm curious to know if others have experienced confusion on this front.
