An old friend of mine said to me a year back: "You're constantly making fun of people and they don't even realize it". She told me that I have a tendency to insult peoples intelligence indirectly by making up snide sarcastic remarks while in conversation.

When she told me, I couldn't help but laugh because although it's true I've done it subconsciously for as long as I can remember. She was the first to notice however. Sometimes, in hindsight, I'm astounded at the amount of shit I've been able to pull, basically calling people idiots to their face only changing my words slightly, and adjusting the pitch of my voice to make it seem like a compliment. It's this sort of thing that makes it quite obvious that House from House M.D (The series) might be an INTJ.

Of course my humor has many colors but It usually takes people months to understand this particular sarcasm, and because it's so cynical a lot of people will never truly get it. It's like I'm speaking a totally different language than most people when I flex that muscle. Most of the time noone gets it, so it has become an exercise in self-amusement and seeing how far I can push it.

Is there such a thing as a characteristic INTJ humor, and if so, what does it look like?

I'm not sure about the one you are describing, do you do it because they really annoy you and you want to be mean or just for fun? I remember how my ex would called me stupid when my logic failed and it was funny but he didn't want to be mean, just to laugh.
I like it when you make jokes involving logic. It can be hilarious really. I think that's characteristic for INTPs and INTJs.
People are there. I make fun of them for the sake of amusing myself, it's not specifically with a malicious intent. If they actually understood it and got angry I would keep my mouth shut.
