CNN Reports Ron Paul At 0% While CNN Online Poll Shows Him At 75%

June 14, 2011 by Trevor Lyman

While the online poll conducted by CNN shows Ron Paul as the clear winner with 75% of the votes, CNN reporters pull a fast one by citing a lesser known poll hosted at National Journal claiming Ron Paul came in at 0%.

CNN discards their own poll in favor of another poll that shows results more to their liking.

This is overt propaganda.

The National Journal poll cited by CNN now shows Ron Paul in the lead with 33% of the vote.

I'm not sure what you're wanting to discuss here -- the fact that CNN is not a reliable news source; the propagandized format of the debate; or, the debate itself? -- so I'll discuss what I want.

I saw about 50% of the debate. I thought Ron Paul was strident and unrealistic in his foreign policy views. He did not present himself as well as some of the others. I'm impressed by Michelle Bachman's apparent charity but I'm not sure she would make a good national leader. Mitt Romney presented himself well but I don't like that he instituted a socialized medical system in his state. Newt Gingrich was balanced, especially given the conservative nature of the field, and should show well with moderates. Of them all, though, I'm most interested in Herman Cain. I think it would be a relief to have someone in office who has actually run a real business.
