I have noticed that INTJ people tend to be of the olfactory temperament, and INFJ tend to be of the visual temperament. This might have been caused by INTJ's use of Ni coupled with Te-Fi, while INFJ use Ni coupled with Fe-Ti. People of the visual temperament tend to be visionaries, while those of the olfactory temperament tend to be more patient and analytical, which makes them very suitable as children's caretakers, counselors, and mentors. What are your thoughts about what could account for the difference in temperaments between INTJ and INFJ?

Yeah I think youve got the two mixed up. INTJ and children? INTJ and counseling? Those are literally Fe jobs.

This whole story is a messy combination of various traits. Please do not try to pass this off as factual, anything mbti related is dubious at best and an extrapolation or interpolation about it is even more so. People arent joking when they compare mbti to astrology, you guys go pretty far out there with your make-believe pseudoscience bullshit.

Read up on what has happened in psychometrics in the time after mbti, which is the early 20th century. Focus your energy there instead.

The way to test if people are either olfactory temperament or visual temperament, besides observing them, is to ask them whether they identify more with visual or olfactory people, after watching video examples of both.

INTJ can work well in jobs that require a specific amount of interaction, like counseling, and working as teachers in highly skilled, technical disciplines is another possible career choice as well.

I could see that, in that an INTJ could survive working in a job that revolved around human interaction in a regimented fashion that allowed one to structure those interactions properly. However, a job revolving around human interaction at all is generally considered undesirable for INTJs. Not that we can't talk to people, but the idea of having to do it to put food on the table is daunting to say the least.
