[Space Cat]

I am 99.9% sure i'm not the only one. Half of the INTJ's i know (most left the forum... Yes, i'm an old timer here) had cat avatars.. Actually some of you still do.

We can add porcupines and jellyfishes to the list of the INTJ spirit animal. But still, i see the cats. Yes, even those who don't post in the INTJ section.

So really, are we just crazy cat people or do we actually associate ourselves with cats or is there some mystical Egyptian INTJ cat god/ess which descended into our veins? Or are most cats just INTJ's?


As for me, i'm have a space cat!
I love astronomy and feel like cats sometimes reflect my moods. And since i have a thing for nebulas and i tend to gravitate towards astronomical pictures... plus it's more fun with a cat in there.

How i interpret cat's behaviour:

• I approach you, not the other way round
• I want to be left alone
• I'm tolerating you
• I'm highly independent
• I choose who i want to socialise with
• If i don't like you, you will know it

I mean don't get me wrong, i love all animals. I'm a dog person as well but there's just something intriguing about cats which i can't put my finger on. Maybe it's not just me. Or maybe it's because i'm a crazy cat lady!

Hmmm... I dunno, I like cats. I've always liked cats, but that probably has something to do with Homeward Bound. Named my first cat Sassy and everything. I have two cats currently... Cinnamon and Sage. I'm not big on cats in general. I don't save pictures of them, or watch videos of them or admire them from afar. I like my cats.

I hate dogs, but that's because dogs are extremely annoying in my opinion. They bark and they're needy... they all have that same sad look in their eyes. I appreciate all animals though. I treat them right. My mother has a dog named Maya and after she settles down she's kind of fun. Still stupid, but kinda fun. I like that you can take them on walks without worrying about them running up trees.

My favourite animals are foxes, though. If I happen to see something relating to foxes while shopping, I have a bit of a weakness for purchasing it. My family's always giving me fox things. *shrug* Those are dogs.

I like cats but it isn't because I see myself in them. I've owned cats most of my life and currently have five (it was a his/hers/ours kind of thing). Not one of them would I type as INTJ. I'd say I have an ENTP, ESFP, ESFJ, and two ISTJs.

Allow me to enlighten you on the phenomenon that is the feline.
1) They are your overlord.
2) You solely exist to please them and supplement their lack of opposable thumbs.
3) When pawing at you, they are in fact looking for any and all weak internal organs.
4) When they are 'sleeping' on your stomach whilst you slumber, they are brooding on how to kill you next time they have lulled you into a false sense of security.
5) Yes you are a minion, however you are also easily replaced.

Not me. I'm a dog person. I don't hate cats but I can't bring myself to like them because they don't seem to like me. All they ever do is want stuff from me. Like affection. And salmon. I've never had a cat but where I live a cat comes over to our house all the time. I liked having her around because it was a novelty and I buy her cat food and let her climb on me and my things, even let her take my seat (and she LOVES taking my seat like it's nobody's business, or plop herself down between me and my homework), but I can only imagine how her owner feels that she's spending all this time with us. She would come to our porch and stare at me, then I know it's my signal to open the door. When she wants to leave she stares at our door, and I open the door and let her leave. I'm her servant and she doesn't worship the ground I walk on. Not cool.

Ironically unlike a housemate of mine I haven't completely pissed her off. He would lure her into our house with everything he's got and not leave her alone. I honestly think he was loving her to death. He would baby talk to her and make fun of her. Generally I ignore her until she decides she wants some petting. And I NEVER go to her. Oddly enough our personalities seem to match and she spends most of her time with me.

My dog loves me and I love him and I prefer our relationship. He loves to snuggle too. He never has enough of me and doesn't complain when I've had enough of him.

I prefer cats over other animal.
I presently have a basement cat and a dog.
I think i prefer the reasoning cats seem to use.
A dog will sniff a skunk despite having been sprayed before. A cat will watch the dog get sprayed by the skunk and know to stay away.

My dog loves me and I love him and I prefer our relationship.

I love my dog more than the cats in the house. She's a Great Pyrenees and is the sweetest, gentlest, most giving creature I've ever known. She loves to chase the cats, though, and that just puts her higher in my esteem. I'll grab a cat -- usually the ENTP-like one who deserves it and relishes the attention -- hold him up high and ask her if she wants the kitty. She gets super focused on him and when she starts wiggling, I toss the cat. He hits the floor running but she's right on his tail and pounces on him. She pins him, rolls him to his back, and buries her nose in his belly. I swear she's trying to tickle him.

My cat and i is way to similar in our way and personality, that is almost hilarious.
We hide in our secret place and sleep or do whatever we want to do all day.
Then suddenly we get all hyper and run around in the house annoying the shit
out of my mum and making weird noises. ( or meowing from the cat's side ) then
my mum locks the cat in the bathroom and demand me to go back into my room.
then we go back to our little hideout and stay there for a while before we ask for food
( or other things ) and then every now and then we go out of our way to be social
with the rest of the family. Do/sit/climb/claw wherever we want, even how many
times we get yelled at by a certain grown up in the house.

And now and then it sleeps all night in my bed and get all cosy with me, and now
and then i get all cosy with it. sometimes i guess my cat has just taken from me.

the other cat is very different from that cat, its very social, rarely hides/sleeps
away from people all day, it usually sleeps in the couch, it never sit or claw on
places that makes my mum go nuts, don't get all hyper out of the blue, and it
can suddenly just approach me with an intense purr and be very very social and cosy.

So i must say that i am most certain a cat person, and i have always been.

It is not that i don't like dogs, but they are needy, they might learn fast and appear
intelligent, but they are.. kind of stupid to, they can be to nice, and to cosy and
they must have attention all the time. And dog's seem to notice that i am more of
a cat person, because dog's always pay more attention to my more-dog-friendly
friends if they are there,it is like, they just understand that i dont really am that kind
of person that have unlimited love and find a overhappy reaction to be perfect,
sometimes i just want to tell them to shut the fuck up and leave me alone, but one
can't really do that.

But it is not that i dont like dogs, sometimes they are very fun and loving creatures,
it is very fun to throw dog-candy or other food around and make a dog do tricks, and
they are cute, i can't deny that, and it is lovely to walk with a dog in a nice winter day,
and just get a reason to actually go out, and when one walks a really long walk one
feels that one have done something good, made someone(thedog) really happy.

It is just that a prefer to not have the responsibility one gets when one have a dog.
I prefer animals/people that can mostly take care of them self.
