i guess the thing about me is that...people don't like me. i don't have a very friendly face, it's one of those "deadpan-annoying-rude-person" faces, and people don't usually like those. so, by assuming my entire personality based out on my face, people don't try to be friends with me. and that makes things way more difficult because i never start conversations and friendships, except when i'm alone for too long, then i start to talk to anyone who even looks at me because i can't stand being alone for too long.

i'm thankful for the 3-4 friends i have because going through the trouble of making new friendships is exhausting.

I can make "friends" and acquaintances, just people to hang out with, I seem to be bad at keeping them though. However, I don't really want, "people to just hang out with", I want meaningful, deep relationships (or I want my friends and acquaintances to reach the next level.) It's hard for me to find really close friends, people that I can share my most intimate thoughts with etc.

Yea I've always had trouble making friends. I've always had some though. I'm pretty awkward socially and I've realized that one other reason why I've had difficulty with this is that I struggle in big groups. I love getting to know people in one-to-one situations, but it's like, as soon as you put me in a group, I shut down. I don't know if it's simply because of introversion or what, but it's almost like something happens to me chemically when I find myself in a (usually large) group of people that I don't know very well.

At school / college, you're expected to make friends and find an identity among peers and all the rest of it, but it was always so difficult for someone like me who felt like I had very little in common with others and wanted to spend proper quality time with a select few, rather than awkwardly engage in some sort of 'group mentality' thing.

I did manage to make one good friend at school (and I have some others) and it was kind of a natural process because he also didn't have any friends at school at the time, so I took the plunge and said hi to him one day. But it does frustrate me that in order to make friends, you're usually expected to join some club or group activity, but that kind of thing is rather unnatural for me and I find it difficult to get motivated about stuff like that.

I've never gone out of my way to do it...ever. That's where the amazingness of some extroverts come in. I like being adopted <3

Plus I have really high standards...like...extraordinarily high!

I'm oftentimes socially awkward as well. I can improve this only up to a certain point. There's always going to be that awkward part about me in social situations that will never leave because it's...well, a part of me.

I'll be your friend. Drinks are on me, and if you don't drink, how about watermelon juice? And I'll do all the talking, you can just nod or mumble, I understand mumblish!
Hmmm...this sounds too easy...

I am suspicious
