I am horrible with directions. I have lived in the same moderately sized city for almost my entire life. I still cant drive anywhere further than 5-10 miles from my house alone w/o making a wrong turn or something like that.

terrible with directions. Always so easily impressed with people who know which was is East, West, South or North.
Have a really hard time finding my way even with a map. I rely on other people all the time and when I can't I study it for long periods of time and it's always difficult to find my way.
Always get lost driving too...

i've always been good at finding my way but that may stem from growing up roaming through the woods. the only quirk is i generally don't know many street names.

my town is very long and i've lived in the north part of it for years which is full of woods, so i know all those curvy roads well, but when driving downtown i still don't know where things are... drives my friends crazy sometimes

I can really identify with all of this. I have been driving for years and I still avoid new highway routes like the plague. My friends have started to automatically assume that if we are going somewhere new, downtown, or in the city; they are driving.

I'm not too bad with finding my own way, but I'm a complete failure at giving instructions. Sometimes I get even right and lefts mixed up. I don't really know any road names, so I just point and wave my hands in the general direction. Thus if I have to give directions over the phone, it's best I pass the duty to someone else.

I'm a complete disaster at this! I can't find my way around in my own small hometown, and absolutely not in the bigger city that I live in now! I know very few street names and I have no sense of direction. I often feel embarrassed about this because it makes me seem like a child :blushed:

When I first moved in at my college, I walked into the wrong apartment and into a sleeping guys room. It was very awkward, but no one saw me. I also get lost when my family moves, I wander around aimlessly looking for my room or the bathroom or any other room for weeks. "Which room was mine again?" "The one that isn't mine." "... And which one was that?"

I suck at directions: both at finding my way around places and at explaining them to others... unless I go to MapQuest, that is.

If someone ever asks me about directions, instead of saying like, "oh, you just stop at Queens Street and turn right at Sir Lou Drive," I'll say something like, "okay, keep going left until you see Fortinos, and then drive straight until you see a house with balloons."

This is why I'm probably going to fail at driving in the future.
