Imagine a 4 cyl engine running on only 2 cyl.

That's basically what's happening in the ISTPs mind.

Extremely self questioning, unable to decide what to do or where to go forward, very down on ones self.

From personal experience, I can say that characteristics of the Ti Ni loop are being too much in your own head, overanalyzing, anxiety/worrying about stuff you usually wouldn't worry about, a catastrophic vision of the future, becoming unable to solve problems because you're going in circles, and becoming detached from what happens on the outside around you.

Exactly, it is a question of duration in time.
The way I understand it it's a matter of disengaging two of the functions and only using the other two. As for the duration I haven't thought about it. Loops are typically described as unhealthy and lasting a long time. On the other hand the continual simultaneous use of all four functions isn't something I've considered or read anything about. So is it possible that we are in a continual state of experiencing beneficial micro loops? I guess it is.
