Okay so I read that this guy is ENTJ. There is absolutely no way in hell that this guy is an ENTJ. I vote for ENFP. Who's with me?

Would an E need a special, secret place with no people in the middle of nowhere to recharge? That's my question.
I read him as an Ne dom with Fe use.

ENTP.

wouldn't ANY PERSON need a special, secret place with no people in the middle of nowhere to recharge?

(come on, this question is along the lines of 'do people from the north enjoy warmth less, because they are used to the cold? EVERYONE likes warmth when its cold.)

argue your way out of that.

Didn't mean to offend. My understanding of extroversion is that you recharge by being with other people, while introversion is where you recharge by not being around other people.

not offended in the slightest. sorry if the use of caps suggested such.

i think extroverts definitely gain energy from others, and introverts do not. but i think even the most extraverted extravert disappears occasionally when life overwhelms them. plus most types pick up a shadow version of themselves under stress.

if entp, the shadow would be isfj. a negative unhealthy isfj.

Yes. Watch the 3-minute interview here: A Rare Side Of Jim Carrey - 60 Minutes - CBS News

Especially the last half.
I could see ENFP, but Ti-aux? Noooo.... Fi-aux.

I can gain energy from people depending on the circumstance, but I'm very reserved and prefer to spend most of my time in my room doing things that interest me. I think it really depends on your dominant cognitive function and probably your auxiliary to some degree.

There's no reason ENTPs can't be nice (or ENFPs mean assholes). ENTPs with a developed Fe tertiary can indeed be very nice.

I agree with the OP that he doesn't resemble an ENTJ. I personally could not muster up the energy to be as animated as he is.
Teddy was actually probably ESTP. JFK was more of an ENTP.

And Keirsey is a huge ***. I did mention that you have to buy into someone's type theory to buy their typings didn't I? There really isn't an objective method of typology, because ultimately typology is arbitrary -- a fact which actually kinda pisses me off, but is no less true for that.
A couple things I found on Theodore Roosevelt.....

He would later recall that in the middle of Mathematics classes at Harvard, his mind would wander from his lessons to the accomplishments of the infant US Navy.

though as I had an imaginative temperament this sometimes made up for my other short-comings.

He did well in science, philosophy and rhetoric courses but fared poorly in Latin and Greek. He studied biology with great interest and indeed was already an accomplished naturalist and published ornithologist

He was an eloquent conversationalist who, throughout his life, sought out the company of the smartest people. He could multitask in extraordinary fashion, dictating letters to one secretary and memoranda to another, while browsing through a new book.

I read some articles on Theodore Roosevelt and think that these comments all point to him being more of an ENTP.

Why do people think he's an F? My initial impression was ENTP. ENFP could be right, I just don't see it. It's frequently not easy for me to differentiate between the two types.
ENTP
I agree with OP, ENTJ is a ridiculous for him
