It's not the fact that they are men, it's more to do with high levels of testosterone. Some men have a lot of that particular hormone.

True. I'm a fairly low-testosterone guy, but I do have a bit of a jealous side to me. It's mostly from past experiences of being manipulated and deceived by women. I try to not let it dictate my actions, but to the keen observer, they are very obvious. Anyone who cares about you is naturally going to be at least a bit possessive of you. I'm not very aggressive either, except for when I have to defend myself or deal with an obstinate asshole. I suggest that you, thread starter, date a wide variety of men, even if you are not attracted to them. Date guys of different bodies and personalities and backgrounds and values. If you look hard enough for long enough, you can find some really swell guys.

I've got low testosterone levels myself (as in zero unless I take testosterone daily due to a genetic defect) and I'm not very aggressive, and certainly not possessive.
Why is it ok for them to generalize about men that way?

I find all women like doilies and flouncy skirts. They also fret and squeal at mice and play the coquette. They all want children and eat yogurt too.

I'd find a better magazine to read if I were you.
anyone is capable of being aggressive and possessive.

The aggression is related to testosterone not possessiveness. Women can be as possessive. Women can also be amazingly aggressive but they show their rage in more diplomatic and less physical ways than men do. To show anger, women might scream at the husband while the husband might hit their wives, for instance. It's a generalization of course.

No.

The magazine was dumb. Don't believe it. Dumb.

I fucking hate women's magazines, honestly....
