This happens to me all of the time, and I find it quite amusing actually.

When I'm on my own, just observing things, I tend to notice things that others do not. Especially patterns and hidden messages. But whenever someone tries to tell me to look at something, it becomes immensely difficult for me to see what they want unless they take my head and make me stare directly at it.

Have you had any instances of this? I have. My most "facepalm" moment would be when I went on a trip to a youth convention and my roommate asked me if I wanted to go to McDonalds with him. My response was yes, but I also asked him where it was. After a few moments, he took my head and pointed it at an upward angle to the sign. It was right next to our hotel. Curse my obliviousness!
