Hi ENTJs,

So I found this on the net a little while ago thought it was quite interesting. In each scenario you are presented with a no-win scenario similar to the Trolley Problem, in which the brakes has malfunctioned on a self-driving vehicle, and you must choose one of two routes, both of which will result in the death of either pedestrians, or passengers.

While many of us would agree that all human life is valuable, it really asks the question of how much, and if faced with the choice whose do you value more? It also has some terrifying implications for how we might programme self-driving cars. I recommend reading the site as it explains it in a little more detail, and pay attention to the pedestrian signals, body weight and characters' outfits, some are homeless or criminals (I didn't realise this on my first round but the descriptions help).

I know we're a decisive bunch, so let's see if we come up with similar results.

I had strong preferences for:

Saving the most lives
Female > Males
Humans > Animals
Upholding the Law
Young > Old
Fat > Fit (this one isn't accurate, it just got conflated with other variables)
High Social Value > Low Social Value

I didn't have much preference for:
Passengers vs pedestrians
Avoiding intervention

That was fun! I got

Number of lives : Neutral
Pedestrians > Passengers
Upholding the law > lawlessness
Avoiding intervention (more towards 'less mattered')
Gender: Neutral
Humans > Animals
Younger > Older
Fit > Fat
High Social Value > Low Social Value

Saving more lives
No preference in protecting passengers
Upholding the Law
Avoiding intervention
Male > Females (Not sure why)
Old > Young (Not sure why)
Humans > Animals
Fit > Fat
High Social Value > Low Social Value
