Ah, Wes Anderson. I love his films. I think the best ones are those which he and Owen Wilson collaborated on the story - Like their oscar nominated screenplay for Royal Tenenbaums. Which Gosford Park won, which when looking back, seems quite surprising. Since it beat out Tenenbaums, Amelie, and Memento by the great Christopher Nolan. I'm thinking that was a big mistake. Anyways, back on topic. Garden State is also a very good movie. I'm afraid it can be played out by some people too much though. Either way, good films and both with exceptional soundtracks.

It's not in the Twin Cities... anywhere. That I can find.
Yeah, I'm having the same problem. It's playing at places, that closest, are about an hour away from me. I almost just said f*** it and went because I certainly want to see this. I don't live in a city though, so I'm surprised why it wouldn't be playing by you? We may have to wait for it to reach other theaters, hopefully only a couple of weeks.

Here's a good one - "Where the Wild Things Are" has now been made into a movie. This is perfect INFP stuff, with all the imagination and themes of hope and youth throughout it. This is one I have also been keeping my eye on since last year. The trailer came out a bit ago, and is now being shown in theaters, specifically before the new Harry Potter movie. With director Spike Jonze at the helm, I can't see this being disappointing. The song in the trailer is "Wake Up" by Arcade Fire. Here's the trailer:

Over this past weekend I learned it was released in one theater here in Uptown Minneapolis!! Hopefully I can sneak away from the hubby and toddler some time soon to go see it. It looks wonderful and I love Zooey Dechanel...

Sorry to post it again, but this is probably one of the best movies i've ever seen in my life.

Not really an emotional kind of movie at all, but you have to look for it !! Where is the fun with emotionally apparent movies ?! I like to complicate me the life, i'm sorry.

It sarcastic, witty, original and opinionated. In a word : awesome.

a little preview of the beginning of the movie :

oh. and the ending for those who don't want to watch the movie but still need to witness a such amazing movie ending that you will never see at the cinema nowadays.

BIG SPOILER, DONT CLICK ON IT IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE MOVIE
ps : i'm not a misogynist at all. Please don't come to conclusions xD

I also loved zardoz; with Sean Connery and his amazing outfit.

As for music I would recommend Fleet Foxes (of course) album same name. May take a few listens for some to catch on to it, it did for me . And now I'm hooked. Folk/baroque pop/indie. Check it out if you want. And if anyone takes me up on my recommendations let me know, I want to hear your response. :blushed:
Gasp, a Fleet Foxes fan!

Oh please tell me you are one too . There are not many I know of.

I love Fleet Foxes, but I guess that's not hard to tell from my username and avatar.
Yes I am! Fell in love with it at the first listen, and went through their CD and both E.P.'s. They're lovely. :D Fav songs are: Your Protector, Tiger Peasant Mountain Song, So Long to the Headstrong, Textbook Love and White Winter Hymmnal (wow..that's a lot of their songs considering how little they've had yet....just means they're that good!)

Thanks, glad to see more Fleet Foxes fan here, none around me except some of my friends who I converted, lol. I actually listed Fleet Foxes in a forum about bands you like that no one knows about earlier today.

Oh, and because I should give some contributions too instead of running my mouth off.....I think Grizzly Bears sounds similar with Fleet Foxes, as well as Deerhunter (what's up with animals? xD) So they might be worth checking it out. :proud:

Yeah, Fleet Foxes deserves to be extremely well-known, but I really don't mind that they're not super popular. Hehe.

And hm! I actually remember listening to Grizzly Bear awhile back and I'm pretty sure I enjoyed them. To my knowledge though, I've never listened to Deerhunter. I'll have to listen to them both, thanks!

np, glad I can help! Yeah, Grizzly Bear are pretty mellow, kind of depressing psyche-folk, similar to the quieter Fleet Foxes songs, while Deerhunter have their share of pop-ish sound as well as a bit of ambient. Both good though, and has some strangely poetic lyrics.

Yeah I've listened to both Grizzly Bear and a little Deerhunter but I can't remember much of them. But Grizzly Bear is a talented band. Still, neither of those bands give me that amazing feeling I have when listening to Fleet Foxes. FF just transports me to a whole other realm. I would say the difference between FF and Grizzly Bear is that FF has a natural sound, and Grizzly Bear is more psychedelic. But I guess that's "freak folk".

I saw someone else on here was a Wes Anderson fan - there might be many of his fans lurking around on here, who knows. So here is another trailer you may not have seen yet. It's for Wes' new movie Fantastic Mr. Fox. It's a stop motion animation film. Some of the actors/actresses that lend voices to the cast are George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, and Jason Schwartzman. Now that is an all star cast if you ask me. Like that Wes was able to pick up Meryl Streep, she's just great. Anyway here's the trailer:

Finally saw (500) Days of Summer last night. It sure took long enough before it reached a theater near me. Anyway, I was very pleased with it. I liked it a lot, and it was even better than I thought it would be. I'm not sure if you have seen it yet, but I think you will be very pleased. I still think the guy in the movie is INFP. That's probably not true. But maybe he is just similar to me personally? Anyway I think Zooey and JGL played their parts very well. I always loved Zooey, and JGL just keeps amazing me with how spot on he is with his acting.
