I haven't, but that's only because I'm almost always in the middle of another project when November hits! (This time, I'm 10 chapters into rewriting on a novel and trying to get it down to 95,000 words from 120,000 words.

A lot of my friends have tried it / a few have succeeded, though, and they had a lot of fun with it. I believe the book "Water for Elephants" was also written over NaNoMo.
