I'm trying to figure out my cognative functions. I'm stuck. I know I'm an Ne and Fe but I don't know what is dom and how to order my other functions.
Please help!
What do I ask myself to figure this out?

More specifically, I do not know if my Ne is dominant, or my Ti, I do not believe my Fe is dominant.
So does that mean I'm xNxP? Can I start there?

So I'm not sure what you're trying to figure out. You are saying you are caught between wondering if you are really an Extraverted Intuitive, a thinking type, or a feeling type?

First thing to do would be to figure out which of those you are (forget trying to be a XXXX type for a minute). Do you prefer thinking over feeling? Do you prefer sensation (down-to-earth, in the moment, here and now) to intuition (always reading between the lines, never taking anything at face values). The two are philosophical opposites so one should stand out as being more 'you' than the other.

If indeed you identify most with Extraverted Intuition and Extraverted Feeling fine. I would just call yourself a Ne-Fe ENFP (I know technically this isn't allowed in MBTI but there are all sorts of theoretical reasons why Ne-Fe would not be as uncommon as you think). If you absolutely must have an MBTI type to make you happy then the only extraverted types with Ne and Fe are ENTP and ESFJ. One is an intuitive that leans toward thinking, the other is a Feeling type that leans toward sensation.

Thank you.
I test ENTP most, but I'm really trying to look past the are you feeling or thinking, because we are all both. I should have said Im sure I'm Ne and perspective, and I feel like I'm both Fe and Te. I relate to ENTP INTP INFP INTJ but with major discrepancies in all 4. I'm very new to this site but not to MBIT. I just want to know my "real" type. I feel like my experiences have to much of an effect on my self-description and how I compare the type descriptions to myself.
I really like DaveSuperPowers explanations on youtube.
I've heard everyone has a true type and its apparent around age 3 and doesn't ever change, people may change, but your cognitive process doesn't. Is there even a way to know for sure?

@KarenMarie

Try this url ENTP - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In section 3, you can see the cognitive functions and order.

In the url, change ENTP with whatever type and you will get all cognitive functions and order
Thank you.

You don't have a real type. Project yourself into a category and stay there or you will be beheaded. These are the rules. There is no compromise.
Thank you.

There's tons of theoretical disagreement on this (and a lot of criticism of DaveSuperPowers to boot). Also in a basic sense Feeling vs Thinking or Sensation vs INtuition are valuable because they do not exclude one another but complement one another. Being a feeling type (a person who is generally evaluative -- good/bad, like/dislike, pretty/ugly) vs a thinking type (evaluating based upon whether or not something is logical or fits a specific formula) are not exclusive to one another. Everyone evaluates (feels) everyone thinks. But typically, at least in the dominant position, one will tend to supercede the other. If you ask people are you more logical or do you tend to lead with your head, for instance, most people have at least some sense of where they stand on that continuum. Doesn't mean they can't be logical if they choose 'heart' just that its not how they typically operate. If you find yourself thinking of exceptions, then that process probably isn't one you habitually use since a dominant process would be employed so much as to seem transparent. Someone might have to even point it out to you. When someone told me I was an intuitive I didn't believe them until I sort of stepped back for a moment and realized literally everything I was doing was driven from the standpoint of intuition (which gets me into a lot of trouble from time to time because people want facts not hunches).

It is precisely that type of self-assessment that will help you get to where you want to be.

Because you test as an ENTP, your dominant function is a perceiving function known as extroverted intuition. Also known as your primary way of living that dominates your personality. You say that you are also Fe which happen to be the ENTP's tertiary function and is a judging function.

You need to distinguish between the following. Are you a dominant perceiving type (Ne in your case) or, are you a dominant judging type (Fe?) As a ENTP, you are pretty much the textbook definition of the extroverted perceiving function.
Here is an interesting article about the difficulties that may occur when trying to determine one's dominant and / or auxiliary functions. Hope it'll help you :)

If you really do think your two strongest functions are both extraverted, you may also find @simulatedworld's theory of dominant/tertiary loops to be intriguing. Read more >

Dominant type is hard.

The more you prefer Fe, the more you reject Te. That's the rule of thumb. But you can be somewhat balanced on that front --- many people if they look hard will tend to have a preference.
If you reject Te, your thinking will tend to have a more Ti flavor.

To find your dominant type, I'd advise understandng what rational vs. irrational functions really are. You can perceive something before you rationalize what it is (I see a crying girl battered on the road; I feel it would be horrible to leave her as is .. first part, the seeing itself, not the characterization, is perception, second part is a feeling judgment).
I'd say though, do not assume / go down the path of thinking you're in a loop. There are a whole host of reasons than being in a loop that phenomena similar to what are described in said article of simulatedworld may occur.

If you really find you have an equal preference for the rational and irrational axes, then sure, consider loops, but I don't think they're even half close to the only reason for that phenomenon (and certainly I doubt should be considered as an explanation for cognitive preferences otherwise).

And I suppose its possible that I'm a sensor. Right now I'm so confused I will look into any possibility. I feel that I'm intuitive because I read people, and am usually correct. I also analyze situations, concepts, people, and events from many different angles. I do this subconsciously most of the time. Except when I'm stuck (like now) then I obsess until I reach a conclusion that I can accept, understand and back up with logic.
This is how I would rate my cognitive functions. I know this is not accepted and is prob the reason for my confusion.
1. Tied Ti and Ne
2. Tied Fe and Si
3. Fi
4. Ni
And I relate to the descriptions of ENFP and INTP. My characteristics that do not fit with one do seem to fit with the other. If I had to choose tho it would be ENFP, even tho the cognitive functions of ENFP don't fit, at all, with what I listed above.
This is why I'm having such a difficult time. It's making me question my sanity.
I have been reading articles on undeveloped second functions, causing loops.
Acting in shadow functions. And
Being unable to notice your dom function.
From the links on this thread and others.
Now I'm not only more confused, but also wondering if I do have some type of complex or disorder.
One thing I can say is that I'm open to considering other logical explanations, and I have this openness to other opinions in all aspects of my life.

Yeah it's hard process.

I feel that I'm intuitive because I read people, and am usually correct.

Good sensing can do that better than intuition can unless the intuition is just as strong really. Remember S and N complement each other cognitively. Assuming someone is more comfortable having a detailed map of the details underlying a judgment, they might be more of an SF or ST type. It really depends how you arrive at what you do.

Just give yourself (a lot of) time, and remember to do self-reflection rather than getting addicted to reading material (different people have different views on this, I personally always advocate the self-reflection as paramount).
