Hi all, I'm Whitney. Wow, I had no idea this site existed until today. I recently got into the whole Myers-Briggs test when my friend, who is taking psych in college, was trying to type me, and I guess I'm a tough one to figure out. So I took a few online tests (all came up ESTP) and then I read up briefly on the other types just to make sure, and I'd say ESTP is basically me in a nut shell. I have heard that it's more commonly a male type though, which I find kinda cool, because I'm already a bit of a walking contradiction as far as my personality.

No idea why I joined this site, it seems like fun, and a way to kill time until college starts. Speaking of college, does anyone know any good ideas about majors for ESTPs?

I'm new too and a female ESTP. I'm a teacher for Family and Consumer Science which is like cooking, sewing, psychology, health and relationships. I teach 8 different classes a day so it's exciting and hands on, but I wouldn't say education is the best place for an ESTP. I think ESTPs get a bad rep of not liking to learn but I love gathering knowledge and using it (like mbti). I did okay in school but I almost dropped out towards the end. Took everything I had to stay motivated.

It's got to be something that won't bore you overtime and has a "fight" or challenge aspect. I wanted to go into marketing originally and should've followed my instincts. Most likely will. What are your interests??
