I am interested in what there is to be said about this. I am considering a career in teaching myself, Kindergarten to 3rd.
new INFP (male) with questions about jobs
I am an INFP male, and I have been wondering what your opinion on a male INFP kindergarten teacher is.
I have been considering the job because I enjoy playing with the kids and recently my friend's cousins came in from Taiwan, I managed to teach her to count to 20 in English by just playing with her. She (my friend) said that when I left her cousin started crying and asking me to come back. So do you think I would be alright as a male kindergarten teacher? Do you think INFP males would make good teachers in general?

From what I read, INFPs are good teachers. From what you're saying, it seems like you are great with kids.. so I'd say go for it. Why not? Although.. I am an INFP and kids always end up hitting me non-stop for some reason .. dunno why. Lol
I don't think there is truly a strong correlation between type and job. What works for one person would drive someone else mad. I know I'd hate teaching. I'm impatient, convoluted, and condescending. The kids would equally hate me back! It comes down to the individual. Do you want to teach?
I dont know if I want to "teach" but I love being around children and really enjoyed elementary school, everything after was just blah to me, but it seemed easy to teach foreign kids how to count and motivating them through playing with them wasn't hard so I wouldn't mind teaching as a career
