The requisite Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane. Also like Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, Cannonball Adderly, Jaco Pastorius, Joe Zawinul, Modern Jazz Quartet...the list goes on and on, but those are a few of the standouts.
