-What personality types will do everything they can to avoid paying taxes, never mind about the legality of their actions?
-What types will not do anything clearly illegal to avoid paying those taxes, but will actively try some dubious techniques to lower them as much as they can?
-What about the opposite: what personality types would never question those taxes and pay all that they are requested to pay by their government?

Probably Fi types. And maybe some Fe people who didn't like what the government was doing with their money or are cynical about the idea of shared sacrifice. Also maybe Te types who thought taxation was inefficient though arguing for or against taxation though is more of a value judgment thing.

Fe and maybe some Te types

Fe types who believe in sacrifice for the common good or purpose.

I'll be more than happy to start paying taxes when my government gives me universal health care and affordable university education and humane prisons and home-visiting nannies if I happen to give birth.

P.S.

I don't think this is type related. I've known staunch libertarian ESFJs and totally democratic socialist INTPs.

I know an ISTJ who thinks that people who don't pay their taxes and then their house burns down because they didn't pay the city what they owed them deserve it, and it's their own stupidity for trying to be a hardcore anarcho-capitalist. He also thinks there should be universal health care.

But then there ISTJs who don't even want you to take one red cent from them, even if it means that there will be people starving in the street.

J's would probably be more likely to do NOT skip paying taxes, because "it's the right thing to do."

Also, not paying taxes destroys the common good.

-What types will not do anything clearly illegal to avoid paying those taxes, but will actively try some dubious techniques to lower them as much as they can?

Depends less on type and more on education of individual. Education can be broken up into three factors:

1) Core reason of taxation, and where the tax dollars truly go
2) Cause and effect, what positive and negative ramifications does tax avoidance cause (more money, possible jail time)
3) Educated belief of whether or not government taxation is fair and/or logical

Once these three items are assessed, individuals may make their own choices. Me personally, I pay all taxes because I recognize that I may go to jail if I do not, and I live in a country which does exist because of taxes. I do not agree at all that my country (the U.S.) initially began with the idea that the average American making around $50,000 would be paying between 34% and 54% a year in total taxes. (Taxes include consumers paying for embedded costs corporations, small businesses, individual Etsy sellers, etc. pay and therefor mark up their prices.)

General breakdown in the U.S.:
Federal personal income tax: 17-18%
State & local income tax: 10%
Sales tax: 9-10%
Social Security & Medicaid: 7-8%
Other taxes: 11%

Being a capitalist I don't believe taxes mandated by big government is a good thing since everything the government controls turns to crap.

One thing I've picked up from reading about personality types over the years is that political views NEVER have any direct relation with personality types. Personality=nature; politics=nurture (be it direct or indirect)

I think any type would get bothered by watching their money disappear into a government sinkhole.

Like most people, I only get bothered when they go towards things I don't want them to. In my case, wars and foreign aid before taking care of our own people first. If we have a surplus, fine. If not, there are more privileged countries than us and NGOs out there who can take that honour.

off topic: @timeless you're still spooky, why is that?

I'm libertarian, so in principle I'm against taxation...

Regardless, I still pay taxes simply to prevent the IRS from hunting me down....I do plan to move to Singapore or Hong Kong when the time is right though so that I can get a nice flat 15% tax rate regardless of income

globalization is beautiful
