This was a fascinating story about an Empath with synesthesia and the problems and adaptations she has been using to get through life. I love that we can now see on a brain scan that what she says she is experiencing is true. I found this article while trying to find out more about mirror neurons, btw. I hope it helps some of you who identify as empaths find some validity.
My thoughts on MBTI and this: It seems clear to me that she has Fe in her case, although it would be my hunch that strong mirror neuron activity would happen with either Fi or Fe (from Dario Nardi’s work the area of the brain with identifying self is strong in Fi but poorly used with Fe) so conditions for both with mirror neurons is going to look different.
Mirror Touch
NPR Science Reporter Geoff Brumfiel gives Alix and Lulu a primer on the theory of quantum entanglement. Then, the hosts introduce you to Amanda, who can physically feel what other people are feeling.
