The Netflix original series Orange is the New Black is my absolute favorite show I've ever watched. Most TV shows I find to be slow, predictable, shallow, or just boring and pointless, hence why I don't really watch TV at all.

If you are an INTP female like me, you may also struggle with finding shows and movies that have depth and an edge to them, while not being overly masculine and not relatable.

I love Orange is the New Black because it's one of the few shows I can think of with a dominantly female cast while at the same time being gritty, deep and riveting when compared to other female led shows like Pretty Little Liars, Gossip Girl, etc.

The humor in this show is also perfectly twisted and dark to match my own INTP humor.

It is also just so different from any show out there today. The story is fantastic and each character is so complex. I'm in love with this show!! Highly recommend for everyone.

Well, I'm not a girl but I love the show, Jenji Kohan follows the same formula as in Weeds (rich white girl doing things rich white girls don't do, basically) which makes is inevitably interesting. Watch Weeds if you haven't yet, you gonna like it.

I don't really get into shows, but I've been hearing so many good things about this one that I'm almost afraid to watch it. I don't really want to be one of those typical TV junkies who're weeping and gnashing their teeth while waiting for the next episode. They almost remind me of crack heads tweaking for their next fix.

I know what you mean. Most shows and movies have men as the leading roles and their movie culture is about things only men can relate to or is unisex. Even the movies where the women are the lead role are made for men. Women in tight leather kicking ass, highly sexual. The only shows/movies I can see that were purposely made for women are "The Bachelorette", "The Bachelor", "Bridesmaids", etc. Shows which an INTP would be driven to madness while viewing. All about drama, gossip, and other nonsense.

Yeah, it had nothing to do with the abundant display of prison tits...

I've been meaning to watch it (like a billion other titles...)
So many people I know are raving about it.

It's good to know that you like it from a female perspective as well. I watch a lot of shows currently that have strong male protagonists, but rely on stereotypes to write their female characters, which has begun to bother me a lot.
Weirdly, I've never really read a lot of books with female protagonists either, probably because all of the books with girl protagonists that I'd heard of were the Clique, Pretty Little Liars, etc.

The title "Orange is the New Black" actually confused me a lot because I've been watching a show called Orphan Black, and if you take out the three words in the middle the titles look similar haha. That being said, Orphan Black is very good and features a dominantly female cast...kind of. It's one of the first shows with a female protagonist that I've been able to like. It doesn't rely on female stereotypes (slut vs bookworm schemes make me want to scream) for its characters either.
