If you haven't seen Pan's Labyrinth yet, I suggest you do so. It's an absolute masterpiece.
Well anyway, the title character is the ancient faun Pan, who in the film, guards a portal to the underworld. He's perhaps one of the best character in film history. His presence is highly ambiguous, that is o say that it is hard to discern where exactly he stands, which makes him a very intriguing character to watch

What Enneagram does he strike you as?

watched the movie, didn't particularly like it. It's movies like these that make me feel less artistic and start doubting my sense of cinema. I could barely finish the movie - my friend made me watch it. However it's a well made movie, in terms of craftiness.

Let me take a guess: Type 5?

Make you feel less artistic? How'd you mean less artistic? What is opinion on it? To me this is essentially what a film should be.

Seems reasonable, what made you guess 5?
I adore this movie. I had the Faun himself as my avatar for a short time as well :) Kept getting PM's aasking "What's with the demonic satyr?"

He has a peaceful, whimsical air. I remember from other parts of the movie, however, that he had a very intimidating presence... He's a tough one to type, this one!

According to the director, his name isn't actually supposed to be Pan if I remember right. Nitpicking aside, he seems like the kind of character who doesn't necessarily have a type, but 5 could work... I might have to rewatch the movie, as it's been some years since I saw it.

Ho ho ho. I love his good-evil ambiguity, like you don't know what he's about.

Peaceful & whimsical yes, but I don't think many people would cross him. Perhaps his ambiguity serves as the source of his intimidation, like you're not sure if he's your friend or if he's going to eat your fingers. He's quite charming & wise too. Very mythical.

Sometimes the directors are full of shit. He is Pan to me.

If not 5 then what other type could he be? Definitely rewatch, it blows my mind every time I watch it. It's by my standards the best fairy tale of all time.
I dont have a guess on the type, but I definitely liked this movie a lot. Even the end is ambiguous. Is she really returning to the underworld as a princess or is it simply what she is hallucinating as she dies? Was everything just a childhood escape from the chaos around her or was it true? It all makes it magnificent and yet very sad at the same time. To save myself the heartache I just have to tell myself that all her fairytale stuff is true.

I can't think of any other types he could be, but I can't think of anything pointing to five either. It could be that he's beyond type, since he's a nonhuman.
/Just rewatched the movie.

It's quite a movie indeed. It helps that I really love it when a movie or show plays on fairy tales (as long as it's not just fluff). It's such a sad story too. The ending can be interpreted in more ways than one, but still.
