(ISTP here)I wear a $15 digital watch. It loses 15seconds each week. I don't really care. I don't like spending money on something I don't treat tenderly. I tend to throw it around a lot.
I don't see what expensive watches have to do with personality types though.
I don't like spending tons of money on anything, but I always get tempted by certain watches (usually novelty ones I find online or at comic conventions). I don't even wear a watch and yet have three!
I love the concept of expensive watches, but at a price level similar to what I paid for my used Beemer for a "regular" one, or even approaching the cost of a new Porsche for some of the nicer ones, I really can't justify that kind of money on a timepiece. I'm very satisfied with my Traser from both a functional and "gadgety" viewpoint (tritium tubes for the win, baby!), and I'll probably buy an automatic sooner or later, but probably rather in the $500-1000 range than one with more zeroes in it. I've been looking at the Endurance series of Limes watches, for reference.

I don't even own a watch. I can't bear to wear anything on my wrists like watches or bracelets. So I just use my phone to tell the time. Before I had a phone, I had a pocket watch.
