How often do you have emotional breakdowns?
breakdown is like a strong word. I recall having some of these the year after the loss of a loved one. I've had hissy fits once in awhile when they were justified. ;) Emotional breakdowns per se .... yeah- not so much.

How easy is it to offend an ENFP?
I am offended by bigotry (directed at me or not. I don't tolerate it. Not a joke- nothing. I will call people out. It's stupidity at the expense of others- so to me- worse of the worst.)

I'm offended when someone tries to take advantage of me and tries to be slick about it. I'm offended when people mess with my friends. I can sit and take shit from someone and it will roll right off my back. Same thing is done to my friend- and I cannot see straight and I'm ready to open a can of whup ass. I guess I'm protective of those I love.

Doing the right can is something you can only do if you are clear headed. If not, then don't act. Inferior emotions can only lead to conflict with yourself or with others eventually. Emotions don't lie and you can't trick them so it's better to make peace with them.

I wonder how other ENFPs respond to this. Good question.
Believe it or not, I follow the same philosophy...Try to. I no longer try to 'make sense' of feelings (took me a long time to realize this) but it is challenging trusting them.
With me, I'm not sure I trust them as in "do I really feel this way?" Nothing seems to persist. My emotions rarely go past a point beyond neutrality. Even if my initial feeling was different. Things settle there. By the way, I'm happy and enjoy life. I think it's just how Im built.

ENFP question: Do you have experience with my type, if so, how do you see this trait?

Also, how do you guys know you feel a way? What gives you certainty. My best friend is ENFP is all over the map (shallow?) but seems to trust what she feels easier.

If a tree falls in the woods and nobody is there to see or hear it -- what colour is the tree? What does it taste like? What is the philosophical meaning of this?
Purple, squid, utilitarianism is mostly good.

From my research it seems that ENFPs are very spontanious, free spirited fun loving people very much like ENTPs, though wouldn't you say that ENFP's special gift is having a strong caring heart and emotions?
DaveSuperPowers did a great video comparing ENTPs and ENFPs.

But personally, hmm. I suppose you could say my special gift is having a strong caring heart :) Not so much emotions right now though.

Hmm...Emotional breakdown?

The older I get I'm becoming a firm believer in not suppressing your emotions, be it good or bad, so I suppose I "technically" have frequent breakdowns and just probably call it being "emotionally expressive".

On the plus side, when I am having a real breakdown everyone just think I'm in Raya Mode (their exact words) and being completely normal, and that I'm not having a serious meltdown. Also due to my poor attention span once I'm distracted I forget my life was in a crisis. Ah I wish this was a joke :p

It takes a lot to offend me. And truthfully, I have to choose if I want to be offended or not when I am because I tend to let offensive people and things not even register on my radar. For example, at one point in my life I lived in a highly racist community, and it didn't bother me. Not in my head racism either, but outright verbal and actions type of offenses...buy anyways...if you mess with someone close to me, who either doesn't know you're offending them, or doesn't have the confidence or capability to defend themselves you've raised my hackles.

The tree is the color of nature. It tastes like a tree. And the philosophical meaning is rooted deeply in your heart waiting to branch out into the sunlight to be revealed.

Date me, I dislike people who say they are fun loving. I mean, who doesn't like fun!? These people just wear me out. No wonder I am not to be found in the online dating scene. A dark scene by the way, full of people overwhelmed by despair and lack of self esteem.

So what's your name and where do you live? Don't worry, I have a private plane because I am incredibly rich. I am also very handsome. I just have a bit of a nasty personality. But then again, if you're as good looking as me, it's ok to be a bit arrogant and nasty. I earned it.

Ps. you: are humble, sexy, a diligent cook and you have to wear a mini skirt when you hoover my house. Oh, and don't talk too much please.

Thanks!

I wuvvv INFJs :D I think the only thing I'd find "boring" about an INFJ is that sometimes I feel like I'm leading the conversation too much? For example, I'll ask "Do you like X" and the will go "Yeap :D", and since they didn't say why, I'll ask "Ooh why?" and they will say "Oh because blahblahblah". And then I'll go "Oh cool! :D Do you like Y?" and they will go "YESSS!". So sometimes it feels like they aren't really into our conversation, and that's boring for me :p But other than that, INFJs are sweethearts<3

Quite often. I'm very intense and emotional and have always been one to be overcome by my emotions.

How easy is it to offend an ENFP?
Pretty much what @redorbluepill said. I'm offended when someone attacks my character....especially if it is something I am aware of as being below my own expectations. If it's something I am working on or aware of and you go and point it out and make fun of me or attack me with it I am deeply wounded.

I don't really know too many ISTPs but my best friend's hubby is one (though he's also aytpical autistic - so it's hard to tell what traits are ISTP and what are autism). But I find him very grating on my nerves. I dont think I could be in an intimate relationship with one. You guys are just too closed off and independent for me. I need someone who wants and needs me in their life, not someone who essentially comes off as indifferent.

What gives us certainty? I have a very hard time with certainty (I think it's related to Ne). I have to talk everything out, bounce my ideas off of others because I don't trust my intuition and I don't trust my own decisions. It's like I get these ideas but I don't know if they're any good until someone else says "hey that's a good idea!" or "you're right". Then I feel more certain. Often I need several opinions to feel certain. It's not that I distrust my feelings. I trust my feelings for what they are. It's my interpretations and analysis that I don't trust. I don't trust my reasonings, but I need those reasonings to back up my feelings. Make sense?

I guess I don't see how trusting your feelings makes you shallow though.

ISTP and ENFP are complete opposites. We don't share any functions. And I think that makes it hard for the two of us to have any sense of understanding with one another.
