Hello.
I once watched a video by ********* on youtube stating that an INFJ in Socionics is an INFP in MBTI.
I do recognise that these 2 systems are flawed in its own way and is nowhere near comparable.
My question is this:
I finally did a Socionics test and got the ILI as a result. The description suit me well.
How does that affect my MBTI, does that make me an INTP or an INTJ?

Ps. I'm rather new to Socionics.

Technically, it wouldn't affect it at all, because it is a different system. If you're borderline on your preferences in MBTI, it's fairly easy to sway between letterings between systems.

A socionics ILI uses Ni-Te, so if those are your true functions, that would basically be an MBTI INTJ. It's best not to compare the two systems though since they use a different theory.

Just take that for your MBTI type. If you're over like around 20% on everything, the type it give you is probably accurate. Don't worry about the functions in it. MBTI is best used on a practical level if you use it as a "this helps us get along better" tool, not something to critically analyze others. It's an NF system, after all, meant to bring different people together.

Socionics and MBTI clash quite severely. There is no point taking them both seriously at the same time. Unless, of course, you ignore the MBTI cognitive functions, in which case they don't really clash any more.

I just recently did a socionics cognitive functions test and it suggested ILI (INTp) as my best fit. Closely followed by SLI (ISTp), LII (INTj) and LSJ (ISTj), in this order. What I found interesting was that according to this test I got biggest scores (both at the same percentage) in both Ti and Ni, second biggest were (again the same percentage) Te and Ne, and the third biggest were Se and Si, and again both had the same strength so I wonder how the test determines their order to fit the stack theory. The other functions and their orders I already forgot, except that Fe was the lowest score of all. Anyway it looks pretty clear that in both MBTI and socionics I fall well within the introverted thinkers group.
