Yes. Strategic play needs brought back! The problem is that NTs are a small audience and so game developers who wish to maximize their profits (all of them) tend to target young SPs. Which means little complexity and all graphics.
That's not the only issue with videogames though. There is also the issue of just quality. They've taken a serious downturn since the fifth and sixth generation consoles in story depth and overall content within games. But perhaps a few seventh generation games can argue that?

not gonna lie tho... still love Kingdom Hearts haha

As for board games, I particularly enjoy stuff like Catan, Agricola, Dominion, Carcassone etc... and Mafia/Resistance games. Lots of strategy, lots of fun... just adding those in the mix haha...
