I just wanted to make up a quick summation of the enneagram core motivations (because, to me, that's the basis of it all) and present it in a way that's easy to read and compare quickly between types.

I have a feeling this may have been made before, but I didn't do a completely comprehensive search. This is from the enneagram institute pages and from Timeless' descriptions of the types.

You can also find a summary here: The Enneagram is a model of nine worldviews and motivations

Overview:
Type One - “I will be secure if I'm perfect.”
Type Two - “I will be secure if I'm loved, appreciated or respected.”
Type Three - “I will be secure if I am successful.”
Type Four - “I will be secure if I am unique.”
Type Five - “I will be secure if I withdraw from harm.”
Type Six - “I will be secure if I am always aware of danger.”
Type Seven - “I will be secure if I can plan for the future.”
Type Eight - “I will be secure if I can control the world around me.”
Type Nine - “I will be secure if I have peace.”

Key Motivations: Want to create harmony in their environment, to avoid conflicts and tension, to preserve things as they are, to resist whatever would upset or disturb them.

Holy Idea: Perfection
Vice: Resentment
Virtue: Right Action
Basic Drive: To be incorruptible

This is going to require some thought. I identify with the fears for Type 2 (unwanted), Type 3 (worthless) and Type 9 (separate) but my default defense to combat all of those is that of Type 5 (withdraw). If I choose to hide then you can't ignore me, tease me, ridicule me, or hurt me.

Thanks! I'll set me unconscious to work.

Sorry, I can't really agree to the seven one. It sounds like I plan for the future all the time because something unexpected could happen and that would upset me. But in fact the planning thing is the goal, not the way. It let's me pour my energy and passion into an idea. I also don't think that "security" accurately describes what sevens want, if only for the usual connotations it carries. "Freedom" would be a lot more accurate, probably.
