To clarify, I really want to learn about cancer. It's very interesting to me, with the limited knowledge I have of it. My problem is, to really grasp how more advanced illnesses effect the body, I need foundation of knowledge, like the body and it's inner workings. Cell structures, and different things (apologies for not being very specific, as my knowledge of these matters is quite basic). What do I need to learn to understand more complex conditions? Anatomy? Cell structures? I'm trying to find reading material that can give me the knowledge necessary to fully grasp cancer and it's effects on the body. I'd imagine learning about cells is important, given that cancer alters cell physiology (defects in regulatory circuits).
