OK, first off, I know there's an entertainment section on these forums, however, I wanted to ask the NTs a hypothetical question specifically since this is more about morals and possible future outcomes as opposed to discussing the show itself. Also, I don't want to post in the entertainment section because the thread might become flooded with predictable F-type answers from feelers. So here goes:

I just got done watching the last episode released (slight spoiler ahead if you haven't seen the latest episode) and as some of you know, the crew of the Orville decided to let the Krill children live, despite the fact that many of them will possibly grow up to become a threat to the Orville's/humanities' children and grandchildren in the future. If you were faced with this type of decision, what would you do? Would you kill them knowing there's a good chance they'll be an even bigger menace in the future? Or do you hope for the best and have mercy on those who're still innocent and thus blameless as of yet?

As for my decision: I would've more than likely toasted them with the adults knowing that they'd be an even bigger threat in the future. I understand there's a possibility that one or two of them might be passive, but I wouldn't risk it.

Give them mercy. Just show them how to live. Teach them how to live. Change them

Like it doesn't make sense to already predict something or judge something that isn't happening yet.

I'll take the risk to have mercy. And teach them how to live. Then if it's hopeless, I'll kill them myself

I haven't watched the show so I don't have that much context, but the question is interesting. I'm not too interested about watching the show, so can context be explained? What position am I in? What position are these kids in? How is the society and its law structured here?
