Qualifications: Nominees must.
Nominations:
1. Need evidence. Threads, post quotes etc. Everything will be verified.
2. Will be will be submitted via a special account TBA. There will be an 8 day window for entries.
3. Members can be nominated for multiple awards, but can only receive one.
4. Forum staff are excluded.
5. Forum staff reserve the right to disqualify any member based on their history.

Voting:
One vote per member, per category.
Voting will be private and made via the special account mentioned above
Vote count will be made public

- Have been posting within 2 months. This is to avoid having members un-retire for sake of getting in on this.
- Have a 350 minimum post count. We want to acknowledge those who have invested in the forum.

How often are these contests? Once a year?

Its going to depend how it turns out. If there is a low turnout as far as nominations/votes, it probably wont be repeated. If its the opposite, then yes it will be annual.
What are the awards exactly? Does it appear under a user's name?

What you see under the users name is your status as far as number posts are concerned. It starts off as starting, then I think rookie, then member. When you reach 1,000 posts, you get VIP member ( see Falling Leaves ).
BTW The winners will receive a special post rank, indicating the award

I don't really get the meaning of all these awards. For example, what does it mean if you get an 'SP' award; that you are the most SP-like forum member or that you have been an active and valuable member of the SP subforum?

Right, thank you for clarifying. It was a bit confusing, since you also have the friendliest (clearly a character trait) award, for example, so that is why I was not quite sure what the meaning or significance of some of the other awards was.I'll edit the original post, ( it was in my draft, guess I deleted it )
