Being a 3 is great; the problem, I think, is that we tend to think of ourselves objectively. This makes it easier to see where we can improve ourselves, but also easier to lie about who we are. Because we are fixated on how others view us, this causes us to lie often; it is also why we tend to view ourselves objectively so much in the first place. Doing this for a long time causes self deception and emotional immaturity. The way I have used to get to a place where I'm not as emotionally immature or self deceptive is self inquiry. Being an ENTP, I found a few methods of doing this which I would love to tell you in a private message or comment.

My biggest struggle with being type 3, and an ENFP, is doubting my authenticity. Sometimes I wonder if my optimism and social skills is all a facade- does that make sense? Like, life is an ongoing "imposter syndrome" and I wonder if I even know who I am. I try not to get worked up thinking about it, since we all develop defense mechanisms to get through our days. Just wish I knew when I became so focused on the external.
