The (stream of conscious?) venting thread for INTPs

I thought that we could use a thread like this. I know there is a "confessions" thread, but that's not quite the same, and we haven't had a proper "INTP Madness" thread (which is my reading of "stream of consciousness") since the crush thread and it's ill-begotten clones were banished to the Land of Winds and Ghosts (also known as Spam World).

So (copying from the original):

Take issue with something going on in society?

Having a bad day?

Have something on your mind that wont go away?

Experience something so fabulous you just have to express it?

Accidentally sold your mother to a pimp in a back alley game of poker?

Have an idea, or discover something so amazing you must tell everyone?

Post your vent (or experience, idea, etc.) here!

Note(s):
This thread is not for venting about other members, the moderators, or the forum.
Don't over-spam the thread (I can't expect INTPs not to spam a least a little) lest it be sent screaming into the spam-abyss.

Just because other forums posted this as "steam of conscious" doesn't mean you have to continue the stupid error. Aiya.
I quite like the stream of consciousness aspect. I think it's quite suitable for the INTP forum, as seen in the rambling posts posted thus far.
I'm talking about the phrase "stream of conscious". It's incorrect and makes no sense. The actual idea is fine.

No, roommate, I don't want to meet the other people on the floor. They all seem extremely annoying. Let me internet in peace.

Last night I had the most blissful, utopic dream I've had in a great while. I only remember the last bit, shortly before I woke up. Basically, it was myself and a girl I had a bit of a thing for in high school*. She had somehow tackled me to the ground and was basically flirting pretty hard, eventually asking if I wanted to kiss her. I joked that my mouth still tasted like French fries (I guess I had been eating fries?). That sort of a thing. Incredibly happifying. The happiest I've felt in a long while. To wake up and realize it had all been a dream was excruciating. So yeah, that's done a lot to help the little bout of depression I've been having for the last week or two.

Fucking emotions. People that call INTPs "robotic" don't know shit.

*Backstory: She went from a three-year relationship to a relationship that's two years and counting (ish) with a several-month gap between. Thus, essentially off-limits for the entirety of the time I was around her.

So Steve Jobs dies, I make one little snide remark on Facebook, and all of a sudden I'm some horrible person. I wish people would figure out that the deaths of people I don't personally know don't impact me emotionally at all. Not a bit. I don't think it's "in bad taste". My taste is not the taste of everyone else. So sue me.

maybe you are right. I can settle for clever. clever is good :)
Yeah, he was clever. But he was also an asshole. He flat-out refused to participate in any philanthropy. The only philanthropic activity Apple as a company participated in was with Bono's (Product) RED program, and that was miniscule compared to, say, Bill Gates' philanthropy.

nobody's discussing his morality. We were just commenting on his cleverness.
Yes, I know. I felt his morality was also worth mentioning.

Heres what I want to vent about. I'm sorry if someone already covered this... After 1999 art died, and I'm still mourning. I'm so damn sick of every single new thing that comes out being a copy of something that has already been done, but just a worse version. Whats even more terrible is people don't care, they luuuuuv garbage, pure, unrelenting, crap! Really? Like just when I think the movie industry has hit rock bottom, they come out with a remake of something like dirty dancing. Sign of the times man.
1. That's always been happening.
2. Expand your perspective. There's a shitton of great music and movies out there if you bother looking a bit for 'em.

Uhm, I don't need to expand my perspective. Thanks.
Then stop whining about "the death of art"?

Oh sure okay, whatever you say. Do not tell me what to do as if you are not some stranger on the internet. Sorry, maybe I should have clarified I was speaking of the mainstream media we are fed on a daily basis, but I figured anyone who gave a damn would realize since I was venting I was being dramatic. I know there are quality movies in every corner of the damn world but I'm not surrounded by their advertisements like I am with the garbage they play in the theaters. And NO, I do not believe there is good music anymore, we obviously don't agree and you don't have to be a pompous ass at me because of it.
Jeez, calm down. I was just commenting that your behavior seemed to me somewhat illogical. No need to start raging at me.

I can now add "Thai Life Insurance ads" to the very short list of things that can make me cry.
The absolute worst thing in the world is falling in love with someone in a dream and then waking up to find it wasn't real.

I just realized I wrote large, but it was supposed to be long. Long and narrow, so they wouldn't have much to do besides walking forward. And they won't be blindfolded inside the tunnel, it's just to get there so they won't see the exit. I might put a door too to prevent the outside light from coming in.

And the fact that we're actually discussing this is why I like this forum. Most of my friends would think I'm crazy.
You have to make sure that none of them bring a laser pointer into the tunnel, which would allow them to see the curve.
Ever try Google chrome OS? I keep waiting to hear some kind of review of it...
I'm using Chrome OS right now. They sent me one of their Cr-48's for beta testing a year or so ago, and I've been using it since then for most of my web browsing. I like it, and it works fine for most of what I do. It really is just the Chrome browser and not much else--a basic file manager, support for various media codecs, the basic OS necessities. I think most of the complaints about Chrome OS are just the obvious drawbacks of cloud computing. Frankly, I think Google's timing for it was just not ideal, what with everyone getting obsessed with tablets. But I do like having a little, lightweight, non-bulky computer I can bring anywhere and boot up in eight or nine seconds.
Ahh, so the cloud sucks? Ubuntu came out with a personal cloud (One) but it's not well-integrated from what I've seen. I've been thinking about getting a mid-range laptop with chrome OS preinstalled for grad school, *because* I thought it'd be convenient to work off a cloud. But maybe it's not worth it?

What I really want is the ASUS G74SX-DH72.
It's really a matter of personal choice. I think most people expect too much of the cloud and basically wish they could have a standard, non-cloud computer that's magically in the cloud as well, as opposed to a computer that's designed to work in the cloud. Most people just aren't ready for the idea of cloud computing.
Why have I picked up the habit of having panic attacks?
Kim Jong-il is dead. I..what. My mind is so full of analysis and prediction right now I'm finding it hard to type. This is fucking enormous.
Wtf? Vasaline. Use Crisco.
You can't get good coverage with Crisco, I've found. I prefer lard--it has a much more even spread. If you can get clarified pig fat, that's even better, though the smell does stay with you a while.

I continue to be unable to consume a piece of media without getting too emotionally involved. Damn disfigured Fe....
