Shoot me down if this does not resonate with you (ISTP), but there are some things that make me feel wholesome. When I see them (sense them) I say to myself life will be okay. For me some consist of:

1) Tuning in to segments of the food channel, watching someone make a wholesome meal.

2) Watching the Weather Channel and seeing all the chaos that could potentially occur in my area, or going out to scan my environment after a storm, tornado, etc pass over, or if really bold scanning the area during a storm.

3) The smell of burning brush, leaves, grass during the fall.

4) The smell of a storm coming in during the spring.

Simple pleasures are truly the best.

I had a list ready until I realized it isn't simple. So my revised list -

1) Energy drinks

2) Pizza

3) Getting some actual sleep

4) Curls (body building)

5) Wildlife documentaries

Yes!

The smell of roasting chiles.

The smell of rain, especially before or after a storm. Especially while running.

Nature documentaries, the more remote the better.

Being far away from people and just observing.

I always thought wholesome applied to food only at least now a days.

wholesome (comparative more wholesome, superlative most wholesome)

1. promoting good moral, mental and physical health and well-being
2. sound and healthy
3. promoting virtue or being virtuous

that's all I have to go off of so please let me know If there is an alternate definition..

1) I go to the gym.
2) I verbally punch stupid people in the mouth. No matter who they are.
3) Turn anything/anyone that stands against me while "verbally punching" into ash.

I live in the middle of the wilderness, with only the elements for company (air, earth, fire, water and internet). The last thing I need is to feel more wholesome. Anyway...

The smell of spring rain.
The smell of honey suckles.
I love the sound of the wind through the trees in forests, almost sounds like a waterfall off in the distance.
I almost feel out-of-place when the cicadas aren't wailing too. Call me weird but I like the smell of smoke.
I share rousse's sentiments, clearly.
(I have considered retreating to the mountains for weekends with as little as possible)

I'm not gonna lie, I joygasm and have a physical response to that initial smell of dank bud.

I once heard rousse kicked Chuck Norris's ass and then used his bones to carve out her home in nature.

What's your villa look like anyway?

Hah, thanks (I think?) ;-)

What does it look like? It looks... unwelcoming. It's been so brutally customized to my own requirements that it would seem uninhabitable to any reasonable person (or indeed, to the tax assessor).

You're only delaying the inevitable. You will fall.

Gee thanks. All I did was answer your question. Sorry if you were offended by it (though I can't imagine how you could have been).
I was hitting on you.

Fresh laundry, still warm.
The smell of Fall: falling leaves, bonfires, apple orchards, crisp winds.
A good meal in my belly.

-Standing on the floor of the deep end in a pool underwater with a diver mask, looking at the busy people treading water above me.

-I also like the rain smell

-Waking up to a really cool dream

-The sound of snowfall

-meditating under neon lights in dark places (yeah I worked at a laser tag once, pretty lights and trance music... it rocked.)

I like stormy days more than sunny days.
Taking naps during a storm.
Playing DDR.
Playing the piano.
Drinking Coke Zero or Lifewater.
The smell of rain is awesome too.

Christmas shopping in a small town where there are no malls, just mom and pop stores, nestled between mountains.

Sitting in my yard where it's complete darkness except for the illuminated full moon.

fdkfd. I understand this feeling so well. Maybe it's an SP thing.

-When things work out perfectly (as they usually do).
-The smell of fresh cut grass
-The smell of spring
-The feeling of summer
-Sitting and eating sandwiches in the sun
-Swinging on a swingset
-Just laying and watching clouds
-Working out
-Listening to classical music in a forest
-Sitting by water
-Sitting by a fire
-Grilled food (Barbecues in general)
-Sleeping in
-An amazing song you play over and over again
-Dancing
-Friends and family, parties
-Sitting and talking on a stoop or under a sky of stars

I could go on forever. Life is amazing, isn't it?

Random things that inspire the "wholesome" feeling:
The occasional urge to sew something traditional in a quirky, non-traditional way, such as aprons, bonnets, or other archaic clothing.
Taking care of people, like when I am babysitting, or looking after the elderly.
Going for walks in the woods while singing spontaneous tunes in a made-up language.
Wandering fearlessly without taking any unnecessary items with me.
Projecting feelings of positive regard at every stranger I encounter.
