I'm curious what your Myers-Briggs types are and if you think they had any bearing on your political worldviews.

I'm an ESTP and I identify as a liberal.
I think in general FPs tend to be more liberal and TJs tend to be more conservative. Js are usually more traditional in their values, hence why they would probably tend to follow more conservative views. Also I only personally know two libertarians but they're both TPs if there's any correlation there.
These are definitely just hypotheses of course; obviously many people aren't gonna fit these rules. My dad for instance is the epitome of INTJ and is very left wing in his thinking.

I'm a lefty, er, I mean, a leftist. I'd be surprised to find any significant amount of ENxPs who are conservatives. Right wing, possibly. But conservative in the most general sense of the term? Doesn't compute. All of the other types can be whatever political orientation they want to be though :p

I'm not going to deny there may be some other correlations. Like maybe TJs really do lean fiscally right (social stances would really still be a toss up). And maybe some very light connection between NF and being fiscally left (again, social is still a toss up, NFs can easily have ferociously held conservative values instead of liberal ones).

I'm an ISTP, and I'm a leftist in Europe. What does that make me to Americans? Hmm.

Whatever. I don't know if my type has much to do with how I form my beliefs, but it certainly has something to do with what I do with them - my Ti and Se make me an environmentalist.

ENFP, and I'm more leftist-leaning, I think. I consider myself socialist/libertarian (purpose of government is to ensure protection and progression of human rights, doing so with the least impact possible). For instance, providing free government housing, education, subsistence, and healthcare. Something more positivist--guaranteeing that all individuals survive, but anything more must be earned. Anything more than what is fundamental to human wellbeing is unnecessary and superfluous. It's a weird view.

I mean, basically Scandinavia.

I identify with Marxism a lot, and I'm an ISFP who identifies with INFP a lot too, so maybe that's where my idealist tendencies come from (although you can be an idealist right-winger too, but Marxism is quite a big difference from how society is right now so)

I'm a liberal INFP. I imagine most INFPs are liberals, but I can imagine a few INFPs could mentally tie their politics to their faith and be conservative christians.

There's a language barrier between the US and Europe there... Red is far right in the US! (to clarify: your right, dear US is our far right, and your left is our normal right. In economical terms, that is.)

Wait what now I'm utterly confused. What is your left then?

I'm gonna assume that you are German...

Die Linke (far left), die Gruene, that's left in europe. CDU, SPD is more or less in the middle, but would be very left winged in the US. Even the FDP wouldn't dream of abolishing the health care system or taking away child benefits. That's middle left in the US - but right in europe. The anti - europe, nationalistic rethoric of the AFD would not be unusual in the US, but is very right winged in Europe.

More or less. 'Liberal' has undergone a definition change in the US, but not in Europe. In Europe, a conservative is in the political middle ground, a liberal is at the right. In the US, a conservative is at the right, a liberal is at the left. You know this, but I was trying to clarify your statement.
