Hey. So, looking for some assistance in determining a type for myself. I've dipped into various type systems a few times, always in a sort of fervor, to try to establish some reference points for self understanding. I've already posted this in a few other places, so if you have a sense of deja vu, that may account for it. I'm trying to draw from a wide variety of pools and systems, so don't hold back.
Here goes.

I'm probably some perceiving type, though i can't conclusively say.
I would say i'm an introvert in both the colloquial meaning and the Jungian sense.
I'm more aware of what's going on in my head than around me, tending to pursue related ideas and imaginings in my head, kind of like following a stream of thoughts,
and then suddenly realize that I stopped listening(This is more in terms of lectures). I tend to think of possibilities, or picture a concept. (I think I am more intuitive
than sensing.)

Socially, i'm quiet, reserved, detached, and maybe a bit bored.
If with close friends and the conversation has died down, I can do some quick mental scanning to find something to talk about, maybe reigniting the conversation. I have a tendency
to only really get into a conversation with something that grabs my interest(maybe something i've researched, been reading about, areas of personal experience, areas where I feel confident),
and otherwise i try to behave politely, though I probably appear more inattentive. I'm generally not very good at identifying how people feel about me, and I think that shows up with strangers, where I
behave quite cautiously, but with people closer to me, I can be a bit silly and screen my behavior less, though not a total 180. Friends and family would probably describe me as quite
sarcastic and maybe a bit witty.

I tend not to be very energetic, even lazy, quite a bit of the time, though I can become pretty energized when actually in the midst of working or accomplishing something, with a kind of driving energy.
Pretty unemotional for the most part.

Most of the time, i'm gathering information on topics of interest, or on a specific topic, in a flurry. I can binge on some topic, or try to take a task from start to completion, maybe leaving it for a while,
forgetting about it and then not have the energy to start again. I can be lazy about starting new projects, though having collected materials and making preparations(I try to save
"good" information. I have a ton of bookmarks on topics that I would like to explore, sorted by subject) . I can leave something sitting for weeks, but with a bout of inspiration,
try to take it to completion in a few days. I actually have a hard time getting motivated enough for a lot of things(a common complaint, i'm sure). The topics are generally
math/science based stuff, as I feel a need to sharpen my understanding, as well as computer science/engineering, cooking, fitness, productivity, etc. These tend to fit with my general
goal of being more knowledgeable, being able to understand more about the world and being skilled in different areas.(NT or NT wannabe maybe)

Here are some questions from another forum, that may provide some assistance.
What is beauty? What is love?
Beauty is awareness of clockwork. Love is valuing beyond a conscious process.

What are your most important values?
Being knowledegable.
Being humble.
Being skillful.
Being capable.
Being kind.

Do you have any sort of spiritual/religious beliefs, and why do you hold (or don't) those beliefs in the first place?
Subscribed to hinduism before I knew better. Tending toward agnostic as my knowledge grew. Currently view religions in terms of interesting repositories of cultures and ideas.

Opinion on war and militaries? What is power to you?
As long as there are differing opinions, limited resources, and fear, war and militaries will exist. Power is capability, holding everything in check.

What have you had long conversations about? What are your interests? Why?
Philosophical topics, systems of ideas, self-improvement, differentiation of opinions, video game design, plot(game/movie/book), lore and history(really enjoy exploring the background and systems that make up a world).

Interested in health/medicine as a conversation topic? Are you focused on your body?
No. More interested in finding and using a source of information, not actively discussing. Don't really focus ony my body.

What do you think of daily chores?
Put them off as long as possible until the need is dire.

Books or films you liked? Recently read/watched or otherwise. Examples welcome.:
Mistborn Series, the cabin in the woods, Yojimbo, The man from earth, the man from nowhere, ip man.

What has made you cry? What has made you smile? Why?
Can't remember the last time I cried. 10+ years.
Stupid but meta jokes that no one laughs at.

Where do you feel: at one with the environment/a sense of belonging?
A nice library.

What have people seen as your weaknesses? What do you dislike about yourself?
Inexpressive, unambitious, lack of willpower and decisiveness.

What have people seen as your strengths? What do you like about yourself?
Intelligent, witty(people say, not sure of it myself), ability to do well, work when needed.

In what areas of your life would you like help?
Knowing what others think, being less doubtful, experiencing more.

Ever feel stuck in a rut? If yes, describe the causes and your reaction to it.:
Yes. Total lack of motivation, with 1000 things offering potential. In reaction, try to go out, get inspired. See new movies, read interesting books, get away from the familiar.

What qualities do you most like and dislike in other people? Dislike arrogance, boastfulness, making fun of others. Like a sense of fun, humor, maybe spontaneity.

Thanks for the replies so far. I've added another questionnaire in the hopes of providing some more information, though it probably overlaps in places.

1. Is there anything that may affect the way you answer the questions? For example, a stressful time, mental illness, medications, special life circumstances? Other useful information includes sex, age, and current state of mind.

At the end of my general day, so tired. 25 year old male as of this posting.

2. What type(s) do you usually score as on tests?
LII, ILI, ILE.

3. Click on this link: Flickr: Explore! Choose 2 photos and look at each for as long as you feel that you need. Copy and paste the photos here (or write the link like example: www[dot]flickr[dot]com/photos/jacoboson/8697480741/in/explore-2013-05-01), and write your impression of each of them.

Well, just a picture of a dragonfly, which I think is a cool little insect. It pretty much compelled me to find out some more about it via wikipedia. They look as I would imagine future miniature robots might look, though I can't really imagine what function it might serve. I suppose it could fill the dragonfly's own niche as a predator, maybe hunting smaller insects, converting them to fuel via some process. There's the obvious eyes in the sky vision, though they're not very innocuous. As an insect, it's pretty cool looking, and my spotty memory seems to recall them moving in an interesting way as well, flitting and hovering.

4. You are on the clock to fix something, a friend of yours sits beside you and gives a lot of interesting ideas, none of them actually help or are related to your situation, but they are still something you find interesting. What is your reaction? What do you say? What do you do? What's your train of thought?
I wouldn't have much of a reaction, as if I was working on something under a time crunch If the ideas were of no interest at all to me, i'd probably ignore them or get annoyed, and try to isolate myself. If not possible, or the ideas were pretty interesting, I would probably be listening with "half an ear", in that I would be working on whatever it is I was working on but make a note of the interesting things my friend was saying and probably pursue them after the task was complete. If the task was more information dependent, and involved a decent amount of processing, i would probably get annoyed, but if it was something I knew well enough, i'd be happy to toss ideas around.

5a. What are some of your most important values?
Being knowledegable.
Being humble.
Being skillful.
Being capable.
Being kind.

5b. Can they change? What would be the reason if they changed?
I think my values are pretty broad, and I can't really see them changing, as in being dropped. They may be modified a bit, but they are general ideas that could probably apply to most things.

6. You are in a car with some other people, the people in the car are talking. Someone makes a claim that you see as immoral/rude/cruel. What is your inward reaction? What do you think? What do you say?
I probably wouldn't say anything, depending on my relationship with the people in the car. The closer the relationship, the more likely I would be to state my stance on the matter. Otherwise my inner reaction would be one of general annoyance, and trying to figure out what would cause the person to say whatever they did. It really is dependent on the situation, as it could be a joking matter, in which case I could see myself saying something similar, just for the reaction, but only among people close to me.

7. a) What activities energizes you the most? Why?
Probably figuring out a problem, gaining an insight that can apply to other things and seeing how it all fits together, or pursuing a solution that I think will work. I enjoy putting together a solution to a problem and seeing if it works. I can really enjoy fine-tuning, making the various parts work better, making it fit together better, removing anything that doesn't work. As for why, I think these tend to be general reactions to these situations among poeple, as I have described them pretty broadly. Just thinking about things and trying to see them broadly and deeply, getting an intuitive feel for the connections among the topics i'm considering leads me to be pretty energized too.

7. b) What activities drains you the most? Why?
The most draining activites for me tend to be things done with no purpose in mind. I like to have an understanding for why I pursue something, or why i'm doing something. Also, anything that seems to lead to or involve endless repetition or drudgery. I can put up with repetition if it leads to something I want, or until I can find a better solution for a bit, but if I can't really see anything getting better, or I can't find a solution i'm liable to feel drained and just bail. Also, I don't particularly enjoy pursuing something if it's wholly predictable. As for why, again, I think this would be a normal response to situations of this kind among most people. Unfortunately, the only examples I can offer are, video games, MMOs(find some things interesting, hate grinding to grind some more), work(temp job as data entry, ended up looking for ways to automate things, combing through manuals and such, though it wasn't really part of the job description...)..

8. Do you believe you are introverted or extraverted? Why do you believe that? (Please be as detailed as possible)
I believe I fit the description of an introvert better, in that being in my head constantly is an experience I can definitely relate to. I'm more involved with my ideas of things, and my self in general than I am with most people. As for the "shy introvert", I can sometimes relate to that, depending on my mood, general comfort levels and so on. But on first contact with anyone new, i'm pretty much the observer, kind of cautious until i'm comfortable. The energy definition i'm unsure of, but I think i'm most energized by my inner world, and just being in contact with too many experiences or people can make me feel mentally fuzzy.

9. Please describe yourself when you are feeling stressed. How do you act and why? Real life experiences are welcome.
When stressed, I become anxious, start searching for experiences to kind of unwind myself. I can binge on shows, try to satisfy random cravings, become more involved with other people. It's basically an attempt to get out of my own head, and not deal with whatever is stressing me out. I can make stupid and spontaneous decisions on a whim, and avoid whatever is bothering me.

10. What's your opinion of getting frequent feedback on what you do? (Someone pointing out what is good, what is bad, what and how to improve) Is there a limit to how often you want feedback? If so, what is the limit?
I enjoy feedback, however, it depends on the perceived competence of both I and the person supplying the feedback. If I perceive the person of being competent, i'll enjoy feedback until I can see the source and rationale. Beyond a certain point, where feedback can focus too much on details and nitpicking, i'd see a serious drop in my own willingness to take feedback.

If you don't mind could you take a stab at this one? It might be helpful if you try to hone in on specifics rather than broad strokes. Rather than saying things like you enjoy solving problems perhaps give an example of a specific problem you solved, how you did so, and why in your opinion it brought you joy. Also, try to steer away from common typology terminology. The previous questionnaires seem as if you've got some opinion on this topic already and to that extent seem to be suggesting that the audience should arrive at a certain conclusion. Basically, examples of real life situations that illustrate your reasoning for disliking drudgery or citing an incident where your friends or someone you know has said something offensive in the car would be far more helpful than the simple assertion that you like or dislike certain things.

Tell me about yourself.
What do you do for a living and/or study and how did you come to choose or not choose that vocation and/or study?
What are your interests and hobbies?
What have people seen as your weaknesses? What do you dislike about yourself?
What have people seen as your strengths? What do you like about yourself?
In what areas of your life would you like help?
What are your religious or spiritual beliefs and perspectives?
What did you do last Friday?
Is this restaurant run properly?

And you are talking about broad strokes  maybe it has something to do with Suggestive Pe being not able pull it out that easy, who knows? Because I really can indentify with that. Or it could just simply Bullshit out of the Bush.

Tell me about yourself.
25 years old, recently graduated from college with a degree in Computer Science. I spend most of my time on my computer, browsing the web, collecting information in subjects i'm interested in, or playing video games, recreational activities with friends and so on. I usually find myself planning to do some self-improvement, things such as learning languages, reviewing things i've learned over the course of my degree, reading classical literature. Basically improving my knowledge base, and trying to deepen my understanding. I also attempt to follow a workout regimen, though it definitely lapses for weeks at a time. I also assume i'm relatively less social, in comparison to my peers.(Maybe?)

What do you do for a living and/or study and how did you come to choose or not choose that vocation and/or study?
Unemployed currently, though I did study Computer Science. I didn't know what I wanted to do when I entered college, and I still find myself wondering if I made the right choice. Initially, I thought about attempting to pursue a degree in English, or Philosophy, as both of those subjects interested me. English, because I found reading enjoyable, as well as enjoying the analysis of various themes and ideas inherent in literature. Philosophy seemed interesting due to the degree of critical thinking employed, and(like most who find a new font of knowledge) I enjoyed contemplating the various systems of ideas. I ended up at computer science, as the practical aspect of employment trumped the other two. I was always a bit of a computer junkie, though I knew more about the practical use than the theoretical notions. I could not see myself as an academic, or the way I would use a degree in English or Philosophy, so I pursued Computer Science.

What are your interests and hobbies?
I enjoy video games, reading science articles(I couldn't really describe my knowledge of science as great...), pursuing possible technology based projects, (usually in the information gathering stage) such as how to employ a Raspberry Pi minicomputer, making inroads into subjects into more Computer Science subjects, walking(just as an activity in itself) and reading fantasy and science fiction.

What have people seen as your weaknesses? What do you dislike about yourself?
I can be called lazy, argumentative, stubborn, slow to do things(I can put off action for far too long), and shy. I don't like any of those aspects of myself, except for maybe being argumentative. Personally, I don't think I think critically enough, I can get caught up in contemplating action than actually pursuing activity, I can be arrogant, I can think of things i'd like to know, but end up doing some shallow activity instead of delving into a subject to know it as thoroughly and clearly as I would like to. The latter happens quite a bit.

What have people seen as your strengths? What do you like about yourself?
I can do research, I can handle most practical aspects of technology, I can be thorough, and I can be decisive and spontaneous at times. I don't really care for much about myself.

In what areas of your life would you like help?
I think my social life could use a hand, as I have a small group of friends, but not much beyond that. Maybe experiencing more of the world, as well.

What are your religious or spiritual beliefs and perspectives?
Agnostic.

What did you do last Friday?
The usual, consisting of web browsing, and video games.

Is this restaurant run properly?
No. I ordered an espresso 4 months ago and all i got was the label.

People describe you as argumentative? You seem fairly even tempered to me. What were the circumstances for someone making this assertion about you?
Typically, if I think someone says something that's untrue or doesn't make sense to me(I guess contradicts my view or understanding of things), I can get a bit annoyed and try to get at the root of why they think that, and why I think it's wrong. I usually let casual comments go, especially if I think there's no eliciting a change in belief or views, in either side, or if I lack the knowledge or reasoning to even offer any kind of a rebuttal. I also let things go, because I don't see the point sometimes. Instead I can become sarcastic, and kind of a jerk. I've heard it from those that are closer to me a few times(different people at different times), but never from those I only know from casual acquaintance.

@GrimThird

Could you post links to the other places you've posted or began these questionnaires or type inquiries? Enneagram, MBTI, socionics, any place I might experience the deja vu you reference in your initial post. I've already read everything you've posted on PerC. You mentioned a video you posted in a PerC thread about eye movements that could be helpful but I'm having trouble acessing it.

I'm sorry I'm asking you to jump through all these hoops without really offering you any insight into your type. I just currently suspect you may be a type that I've had very little interaction with personally if any at all. Not by choice, I've just always had trouble being confident in identifying the type in question. Because of this unfortunate predicament I'd like to see more of you. Your interactions with others. If it's any consolation I can assure you I'm consulting any and every relevant resource so that I can gain some understanding. I'd just really like to not be talking out of my ass when I do offer my perspective.

On an unrelated note, who are your favorite philosophers? I really enjoy philosophy personally and could use some new leads :D

Sorry, i'm a hardcore lurker, so I don't really have many posts to go through. And I actually deleted that video, sorry =( . As for philosophers, I have to admit i'm more of a dilettante, so I don't really have a strong opinion as of yet. I really don't mind the process, since it seems you would need quite a bit of information to give someone an opinion anyway. So, thanks for that.
I linked to my profile on the16types, as well as another thread I made at typologycentral, though I didn't get many responses..

Well, I'm going to go ahead and stake my bet on LII. Not extremely confident about that. It seems the most plausible. My observations in no particular order or depth.

Your propensity to 'binge' on the topics that interst you strikes me as not incredibly dissimilar to mobilizing Si.

Your responses, specifically in regards to what offends you, strikes me as similar to Fi role. Rather than offer an emotional insight, or explaining your own feelings on a matter, you gave a rational and thought out response. A very constructed response. Fi role also seems present in your mentioning not wanting to mention your opposing opinions around others when you first get to know them. LIIs are typically socially cautious in this way.

Your willingness to answer the question about pictures that identify you, struck me as specifically not ILI. Almost every time I've seen an ILI presented with such a question they generally answer it in a way that is essentially sarcastic (or ignore it entirely if they feel like being polite). Belying their own bias against tasks that don't offer a direct practical relation to the task at hand (figuring out their own type). It's a sort of disinterest in the novel ill-explained insight that such a task could offer anyone. Your willingness to take it seriously could be Ne values. Probably Alpha though.

You also seemed to reason out most of your responses. In a perhaps vague way, Ti values.

In any case. Heres some lists of things based on my confidence in how likely you are them

Alpha > Delta > Beta > Gamma

LII > SLI> LSE > IEI > every non-gamma type > All gamma types.

FWIW I'm fairly certain that Esaman is LII and while I personally don't care for his understanding of socionics, I have little doubt that he could identify people who are the same type as he is.

Your thoughts are similar to my own in regards to my type, and I would rank the likeliness of the quadras in the same way. It is perhaps a persistent nagging notion of me being an irrational, and my understanding not being good enough, that incited me to gather opinions. I welcome any more opinions to the matter, but I find myself agreeing with both you and Esaman regarding my type. Thanks for your help, it was interesting to get another view on the matter.

Krig is a 16t user who isn't around anymore. I never really interacted with him much and never came to my own oppinion on his type but, he self typed as LII. He's fairly worthwhile as far as understanding socionics goes so reading his old posts and threads may help you. You may have to use a google site search to find them though, 16t is mean to old posts.
