Was a INTJ at 20, now at INFP at 40

I was surprised to find after 5 years of therapy that my type had changed. I had always been borderline on the T/F so I wasn't surprised to see that change. I think I wasn't a natural INTJ. I always felt a little shoehorned into it. Anyway, INFP fits pretty well so I am happy with it.

Glad to have found this forum. I have a post I want to submit, but I think I should be polite and hang out for a bit before barging in with a new thread.

Cheers everyone!

Good luck on your quest for knowledge.

And welcome.
I don't know if it's a natural proccess for one person to change their personality types... More like "surpress" their cognitive functions for some unknown reason, but not change it.

Never the less, welcome. :) Whether ye be an INTJ, or an INFP, you will find people that are like you who you'll find in common with and make new friends who get you where you're at in life. :D

I think I know what you are saying. I could be an INTJ who happens to answer with my more recently developed third or fourth function muscles making me feel like, and test as an INFP for the meantime.

Welcome. That's really interesting. Look forward to hearing what you decide you are, in the end.
Welcome! I don't think it's uncommon for INFPs to come across as INTJs. Actually, I have some friends who all thought I was an INTJ because I can be pretty blunt and sarcastic, and I don't normally show a lot of emotion. Furthermore, I can enjoy a good discussion that challenges me to be logical. It's also seemingly easier at times to hide away the goo that is within. Regardless, I am still an INFP. Anywho, I'm sure you can find some threads on this topic. I think I remember reading one or two on PerC. :)
