This is about my friend. I’ll try and explain what’s made me so conflicted.
1. at first I thought ISTJ. He is very preoccupied with rote information (young unmitigated Si).Whenever he talks about things, he lists concrete facts. He also shows little Ne ideation or creativity. Most of his ‘wit’ and jokes are quotes from others (I’m not saying all ISTJs are like this).
2. I realised he barely has Te OR Fi like an ISTJ would. He is remarkably lazy, half-asses nearly everything (contrasting even common Si perfectionism). He likes to claim that he had strong morals and a strict ethical code. Then he claims he has no idea what his values are, and he’ll find out what they are once there is a situation in which he has to use them.
3. For a while I thought INTP or ISTP...maybe this could explain the immature use of Si discussed. And IXTPs can be lazy. BUT, IXTPs are never too lazy to think. This guy got too lazy to think. He dislikes exploring things deeply (too much effort, irrelevant to him). Sometimes he’ll make a big statement genuinely, like ‘Socialism is best for the country’ and when people inquire about it, he confidently goes ‘I don’t know,’ (very un-IXTP).
Some other tidbits:
-He is also very unperturbed, difficult to offend.

Some other tidbits:
- He is practical, he thinks practically, but he refrains from action.
- He confidently talks to everyone. However, this can be bad as he sometimes seems to devalue his closer relationships. He can’t decipher between levels of closeness.
- He says things in the moment for showmanship, but these statements aren’t well thought out, and he usually forgets the things he says (no matter how weighty, he’s very interested in ‘in the moment bombast’.
- He is rather inattentive to friends and teachers alike.
-He is also very unperturbed, difficult to offend.
