introverting is obviously very important to ENFPs for their extroverted life to flourish, but sometimes i find that i don't introvert as well as other times if that makes any sense. sometimes i can take a day off and it will make little difference, wheras other times i adopt a fresh perspective on life again.

my question is what is your guide to introverting? or at least just how do you personally do it?
what do you think of? what do you do? where do you go?

i think my favourite possible is going somewhere grassy and picturesque and having a solitary cigarette.. or ten.:proud:

i was about to say "***" then, but i realised that wouldn't go across well to the american population of this forum

I remember my childhood pastime that was always best for thinking, imagining, and reflecting... was swinging on a swing set. ^^ I would just be swinging for probably a whole hour, letting my mind wander... I really don't know what it is about swings that do that. Unfortunately, we no longer have a swing set in our backyard, so I can't swing that often... but I always get really excited when I see a swing or two in a park or somewhere. :'DD

Car rides - sometimes during a busy days, car rides are the only time I have to think. I always end up wishing the car rides were longer! ^^;; I'll usually plug some music into my ears, stare out the window, and just think...

Or, if my day is REALLY busy, often times the only thinking time I get is when I'm taking a shower.. or heck, even when I just go to bed. o.o There's really no better time to think about anything and everything than when I'm in bed awake at night, trying to fall asleep. Although sometimes this affects that - often times I get a "restless mind" that prevents me from falling asleep! Or other times, I'm just too sleepy to do it. XD

I've been forced to introvert through a lot of my life, I grew up in the country side with no other kids around and I'm an only child...

now when I need my own time my favorite is going on a long drive, but I have to be the driver I hate just riding in the car. A long bike ride is also good, or hiking or getting out in my canoe, I like being active

Mmm, you've just got to get yourself alone and let your mind go. I find that personally I'm more of a thinker when it comes to being introverted than a feeler.

I go for long walk, or runs. Watching the world go by. Long trips by car or bus are also good for that. Maybe you should try meditation or something, sit there, in quiet and silence in absolute still...
and listen to the chatter in your mind. You may discover somethings you never knew.

I take my guitar and go sit on some grass somewhere and write some songs... It's good to be quiet and let the voices in your head talk for a while...

it's a little more complicated than just doing things alone. it's about things like being self critical(not overly)or philsophical to name a couple of examples.

I would think introverting for xNFPs would correlate with Fi, therefore introversion would mean assessing things from daily life. I don't think I use my Fi as much as I should, though. I spend most of my time alone, but not 'introverting'.

i don't particularly LIKE using my Fi, quite often it just leads to overthinking, although i do need it when i've been socialising too long.

i prefer to be spontaneous. sometimes that leads to me going on the wrong track though, and that's when Fi is useful for re-evaluating who i am and what i'm about. mostly i like to think about the future though, and how awesome university and my future (freedom to choose) life will be :proud:
