foolishly seeking true love, i love sarah jane, ten minutes, validation, spider...all good ones
I love short films. They have such an alluring charm to them. All the magic of a feature film packed into one.
But my favourite short film is Try. its so sad!

Jonas Akerlund's "Try"? It's so terribly depressing.

I'm not that interested in short films but there are a few of them that I like.

I like Chris Marker's La Jetée (it inspired Terry Gilliam's 12 Monkeys), Roy Anderson's World of Glory is also pretty good.

Most of Stan Brakhage's experiments are quite interesting. One of my favorites is Mothlight.

This is from a collection of short films made by different directors named Visions of Europe. It's called Prologue and it's made by Bela Tarr, one of my favorite filmmakers

These are from another collection called Ten Minutes Older

The subtitles on this one are terrible but it's the best I could find

Don Herzfeldt's rejected is so classic. I love it.

Also, animation was cool.

Those are amazing, especially the rejected one, how have I never heard of Don Hertzfeldt before now?

It's the type of thing I find brilliantly dark and hilarious at the same time, but which my family would most likely be mortified to watch, ironically im not really a dark emo type person at all, (not that im implying you would have to be just explaining my use of the word dark), but I loved those animations.

*EDIT* Just found this beauty:

Such a fantastic insight on the overly introspective dangers of a person lost in the mindless routines of life, at least that's how I saw it.

Ive also just stumbled across this little beauty:
