Just curious since I can't imagine for some reason what a normal ENTP job looks like.

A geologist/environmental consultant working for a company. Note freelance but a job that is pretty flexible. Except when I have field work (which sometimes is flexible depending if I am the one scheduling), I could be doing my job at 11:00 at night in my PJs at home or 9-5 in the office. I work billable hours and most of the time, as long as I am accessible via electronic devise, I don't have to be in the office to get things done. BTW, I am an older ENTP with kids, spouse, house, insurance, a will, 401K, car, etc. and the two other for sure ENTPs I know IRL have the same thing (one tends to jump jobs more often but always has a job and supports his family). We ENTPs tend to settle down once we get our Si to start working correctly.

i work in the fabulous, glamorous field of medical billing. i make sure docs get paid by insurance carriers for the services they provide.

it's about as stable as humanly fucking possible in 2019. thank god this country will NEVER go single payer because then i may have to find another job that is as reliable as the sunrise.

I'm a substitute teacher in a young offenders institution (prison for teens) and I run an ESOL school.
The latter's charity work though, so my salary's mostly reliant on donations and funders.

I've also worked in a kebab shop before, and an ice cream shop, but that's it. I'm only 22, so I've got a lot of time to fill up my resume XD

I think ENTP's either do more than one thing, freelance, or hop around.
I know I'd get really bored of doing the same thing everyday.

I worked in IT as a Sys Admin for 10 years. I got sick of being treated as a slave and constantly being on call and treated like garbage because I could keep a cheapskate's 10 year old server running perfectly and performing at modern hardware levels. I have since did a career change and I am now a Program Mentor for WGU where I help students get their bachelor's degrees by settings goals with them since it's self-paced. At least I'm having an impact now and the bonus is it pays what I made in IT and also it's fully work from home.

I'm trying to build my travel blog and do that full time eventually.

This is wonderful. As a troubled youth myself growing up, I appreciate
the somewhat thankless job you are doing. Truly.

I did not have great experiences in jail prisons nor the group homes I was in...save one
lady teacher I had. She left an impression on me that I didn't even realize until I was
years older and wiser. She took a lot of guff from the guys. I often wonder what happened
to her.

Thank you for choosing to help. I mean it. You may just be changing a lot more than you
think you are. Stay positive.

Thank you again.

Despite having a master's degree in engineering, I am a key account manager at the moment.
Ditched engineering right after college graduation to work in sales.
And I don't plan to stay sales person for a long time as I'm now more interested in business+data field.

I too have All The Jobs:

Waitress
Concierge
Forecourt attendant
Shepherd
Milkmaid
Writer
Actress/performer
Stablehand
Barista

I'll poke my nose in anywhere based on money needs/what looks fun. Writing is the constant thread though, pretty much my whole life is just research for my autobiography.

Instead of listing all my past jobs in here, which is honestly staggering, I'll just clue you in on the current one.

Aircraft Structures.
