So I admit, I totally stole this from the INFP forum, but I thought it was a cool idea for a thread. So what makes you happy? Is it a book? A person? Beating puppies with kittens? Being out in nature? Let it all out, no matter what it is. :laughing:

Being out in nature. Listening to music. Swinging on the swings. They make me happy because they allow me to unplug from the stress of daily life.

1-Being with ONE person in particular, who I'm crazy about and with whom I can be all my contradictions.
2-Being with close friends/family who understand and respect me
3-Playing on the swings
4-Climbing
5-Long walks in nature
6-Singing
7-Dancing
8-Baking
9-Snuggling by the fireside/melt marshmallows (may be connected to1)
10-Making other people happy (may be connected to 1 and 2)

Nothing beats listening to my favorite music. Watching great comedies, as well as just being people while they make jokes is great. Also being with my best friend is always fun, he's (ENFP) so shennanigans are had by all. :tongue:

1. Helping someone with paper jam problem
2. Wrap up your decent edible leftover/buy some food and give it to the homeless
3. Caress and hug someone as if you are a giant pair of wings
4. Sit still, sip a cup of tea, and enjoy the view from your window pane
5. Do something fun unplanned
6. Find your best friend and laugh out loud together
7. Take off your mask, reveal yourself, just be yourself
8. Take a slow shower and feel every drop of water on your skin, touch all parts of your body with consciousness
9. Eat slow and feel the burst of every flavor in one spoon
10. Say sorry if you make a mistake
11. Be there for someone you care about
12. Play kites (it works for me)
13. Smell the grass and the flowers once in a while
14. Work out, sweat off some pounds, and look in the mirror
15. Write down your achievement of any kind and say to yourself "I'm wonderful"
16. Stargaze

  • Aesthetically pleasing things, such as nature, flowers, buildings, trinkets, well designed steets, clothes that make me look good etc...

There are plenty.

But what makes me feel happy about right now...is this strangely profound and serene sense of centeredness, after a day of hard work chasing something I think will bring eventual joy, but realizing now that I'm sitting on happiness all along, and that the multitudes of pleasures and ideas are all fleeting, even this feeling like others will come and go, which leads me to give up the illusion of control, whatever happens, good or bad, realize it doesn't matter either way :happy:
