The sevens are the extroverts of the enneagram. But there are quiet extroverts. Sevens are positive thinking but it doesn't necessarily mean exuberance. So are there quiet sevens in the community? Also which of the pair is more quiet?

In my experience, Type 7w6's tend to be the more "exuberant", and as @The Night's Queen put it, "chattery". However, I find them to be a bit more contemplative and introspective at times (due to the 6-wing).

Type 7w8 (in my experience) tend to have more moments of quietness, if that makes any sense. Like, they can take quiet moments to themselves, in a way I don't know how to explain other than that. They're a bit more independent (in some regards) than the 7w6's, so they seem to be able to take those moments for themselves a bit better. Almost a solemn solitude appearing type deal (pulling away from the pack, and starring off into the distance).

7w6's seem to introspect more, but seem more dependent on keeping the running mental chatter going, as well as keeping people nearby. It seems like more of an anxious need for 7w6's, whereas, 7w8's seem capable of holding their own, but prefer good company.

Disclaimer: my statements come from observations/ life experience, and not Enneagram theory. : )

Also, I'm a (possible) Type 7, and I tend to be shy and slow-to-warm up. I can be the life of the party amongst those I know well, but I also am quite introverted at times, reflective, and contemplative. I actually have fairly high social anxiety (though, most would never know it;; I hide it well). & I can come across downright shy and quiet, depending upon the company I'm keeping (especially around new people, crowds, or groups). But, when I need "down time" away from "others" (socializing does tax me, even if I do enjoy and need it), I like to take my "solitude" with those I know well (like a spouse or other family member;; or good friend). Even if they're just on their laptop right next to me, I prefer to not be alone ever (even when "recharging").

So, I'm a weird mix. Perhaps what you might call an "ambivert". Though, I tend to refer to myself as: "the most extroverted introvert you'll ever meet".
