Mmm, I edited the comment, so, naw, I'm not. :p

So why did you refer to those mommies & the kindergarten?
Ask your mom did she cried when she drive you to your kindergarten at the first day...

I chose INTP (because I love being an INTP ^^), INFP, ISTP, and ESTP. Honestly, I don't really have a solid reason for picking those, but I just got a "gut feeling" about it.

Haha. That baby is that one final fantasy pig or something character!
Oh Lance. That's a MOOGLE! *sigh* -_-

I took this poll in a serious way. the question is wrong to me in the following sense :
imagine you get a kid one day, right? and you've been building up all kinds of expectations around it...
-> You will of course have to completely adapt to your new born child (and also adapt it to you, naturally) and get rid of those expectations!
'cause God doesn't make children pop out just the way we'd 'want them to' ! [btw, I don't believe in God - just in case;p]
you'll just have to Get To Know It to understand it and appreciate it for what it is.
To me it seems like the more you expect, the more chances of being disappointed, or misunderstood, or misunderstanding the child itself, causing more conflicts.

So why would I want to *choose* the kind of kid I'd get -if I ever get one one day-,
if that'll just make the whole parental process way harder, plus also tougher for the kid?
I'd rather be surprised and learn from it on the go. I don't want to construct an image of a child before I even get one.

FEEDBACK = WELCOME !

That is why the question is asked..

"If you were forced to choose the personality type you want for your child, which would you prefer and why?"

This is just a hypothetical question.

INTJ.. Or ENTP..

My son has two INTJ parents anyway.. So it would be interesting to see our son as ENTP. He'll probably have a shift in personality to ENTP in adolescence anyway if he is INTJ/INTP/INFJ when younger.
Oh so INTJ + INTJ = ENTP? Nice.

Note that I started my opinion with: I took this poll in a serious way.
I realize I might be killing your original intention with this :p

If I was forced? Just thinking about that situation has me pondering about designer babies. And who is doing the forcing? Anyway, I'd like to have a kid with an N. We'd be able to connect in a similar fashion, thus decreasing the chances of being misread by one another or conversations going over our heads etc. I'm not picky about the other 3 traits.

I want a child with strong N.
Are you sure? Because I have a strong N and when I was younger, I drove my parents insane with all the forgetfulness, inability to find things two inches in front of my face, and general head-in-the-cloudedness. XD That being said, I think I turned out rather lovely, if I do say so myself

The thought of designer babies gives me the creeps o_O

I don't actually want kids, but if I had any I'd want four, so I picked four types. I selected INTP, INTJ, INFJ, and ENTP. I guess just because they seem like the sorts of children I would end up getting along with best and being most proud of, and because they seem like a group that would basically get along most of the time. I kind of wanted to pic INFP and ENTJ too, but there aren't enough kids in this theoretical family for that, so I just went with the top four.

I feel bad saying I'd prefer certain types over others, but If I could pick, I'd pick the Introverted Feelers and the Introverted Intuitives. I think I'd relate to them the easiest.

I don't think I'd mind having an ISTJ kid at all. They seem like they'd make nice, well-behaved kids.

NF's coz they're the idealistic types and would most likely align with my hippy views, one major thing I'd want them to have is self-confidence, so as long as they have that, then I don't really care too much about choosing a particular NF type

*Dreams of an NF world (Neverending Flobstoppers)*

I love kids! I think I am going to give 2 or 3 of them to breakfast. hehe.
Don't give them to me, I don't wanna adopt, I want blood relative children thnkz

I simply chose all my possible preferences.... tho I only want 3. Any NF, because I'd want to have a deeper connection with them and have fun with them. ENFJ, INFJ, INFP, ENFP, ESFJ, INTP, ENTP, ISFP, ESFP. ISFPs often enjoy a simple life, yet can appreciate more than a lot of people give them credit for. ENTPs are just clever--and thats amusing (similarly with the INTPs).

Aww, screw it. Its all good.
