Most were true for me except for numbers 8 and 10.

I did not keep anything to myself before age 12. It was right around age 12 when that started.

I did not like any kind of sport whatsoever.
i didnt really like sports either although i eventually gained a love for baseball. Thats because its not as much of a team sport.
Interesting... from what I'm told this wasn't me at all. Type therefore must be learned not natural
This all seems pretty spot on to me. I can relate to every item on the list. It sounds similar to what I read many years a go when I first took the test (I was 18 then).

“An INJ who doesn't get the chance to spend any time alone will be irritable, cranky and tired.”
I find this particularly interesting, it is as true today as when I was a child.

“Too many suggestions or feedback on a project while it is still going on may interfere with the INJ's creative energy.”
This is very true, too. The only exception was an INTP friend with whom I was able to collaborate with very well. We were working on a project together. I would bounce an idea off of her and she throw in a twist, something new that I would not have considered, and send it back. I would tweak it and return it. And so on. I worked very well (though we never finished the project and it is still on the back burner…).

Also the bit about having ideas but difficulty implementing them. I was always dreaming up some scheme or project, but had little follow through and would generally move onto something else. I do this still, though I have gotten better.

The part about the missing letter is interesting as well. I am close to being in the middle as far as T and F go, and identify with a number of INTJ traits, especially if I am depressed or irritated. I nevertheless identify much more strongly with the INFJ description than the INTJ.

Many things are not right for me.
I was very extroverted around friends and large groups
But yeah
I loved (and still love) books, I read so much adult stuff before I was 10
looking back I can'believe it.
I didn't think myself as 'small' or 'young' but most of my friends were in my age-group
I didn't really like music then but i would compete with people for the person who could
sing a song with all the lyrics intact!
I always used to come first in class without any effort.

Really thinking about it, It seems I was ESTP at school and INFJ at home.
It was only when i got to Secondary school at 10-11, i began to manifest
most of this INFJ stuff.

That description fit so well it's scary almost. I wish my mom had read it when I was a kid. She used to treat me like I was retarded when I had simply tuned everything out. I still have this problem, someone could say something important loudly enough for anyone to hear, and I will have zero recollection of hearing it because I was internally absorbed at the time.

I was very Fe too.
Always looking to connect
So #8 did not fit me
8. They're intensely private, and don't always share their thought and feelings
but I only do one on one or one on two. I was always with just that number

#10 was a very big thing when I was a child
almost nearing obsessive
I'd study for long periods of time, always going to the library and when I got the internet, yikes...
I work in a completely different field now and when I see Jeopardy on TV it amuses me being able to answer almost the whole row or sometimes the whole row in "Zoology" or "Dinosaurs" XD..though I studied those topics back in grade 1. And I can also get into great conversations with animation/art history/etc students and understand what they're telling me including the names etc, though I didn't end up going that way in college, but it was what I thought I was going to do...
10. |....| they want to completely understand a subject that interests them
They will completely master a subject that interests them
My mind just sucks everything up and it holds on to it.
I guess I might have strong Si

The following apply to me, as a child (and now, too actually):

They have vivid imaginations
They're curious about everything, and are always asking "Why?"
They enjoy art and music
They love books, and especially enjoy fiction
They like structure and are unsettled by chaos or unplanned events
They are perfectionists
They're serious and intense
They often seem older than they are, and may have older friends
They are original and independent, and value their uniqueness

I wasn't that private or introverted when I was younger. I was reeeeally outgoing and always the center of the spotlight.

I think I developed a strong Fe at a really early age. My parents and my older brother and my teachers were all good at stopping me from being overly egotistical, self-centred or controlling. I remember clearly being told by my first teacher not to be so bossy and that I had heard wrong and the person I was telling what to do was right. By my second year at school I was looking out for everyone else, rather than myself.

Me too! People act shocked when I can remember nearly everything I have read. I think it would really suck not to be able to remember it.

They enjoy spending time one-on-one with others, rather than in large groups

They're likely to hang back and watch before participating in a social situation
They're intensely private, and don't always share their thought and feelings

They like structure and are unsettled by chaos or unplanned events-- I was going to leave this one unbolded, because it didn't seem like me as a child, but as I got thinking about it...I remmeber being very annoyed whenever my mom would ask me to drop what I was doing out of the blue and do something else, like set the table, or sweep the floor...
They prefer sports that focus on individual performance rather than team sports
They are perfectionists

They're serious and intense
They often seem older than they are, and may have older friends
They are original and independent,
and value their uniqueness-- I don't really consider myself to be that "unique"...
They're not overly concerned with grades, but they want to completely understand a subject that interests them
Potential Strengths
They're usually very intelligent
They can grasp the big picture easily
They can see any far-reaching consequences of their actions
They're very resourceful
They are extremely creative and imaginative
They easily come up with good ideas

They're usually well-liked by their peers -- I didn't think so at the time, perhaps; but as an adult, I have had old classmates from high school contacting me on Facebook and talking to me like they remember me really well and liked me, though I admit (only to myself) that I don't remember much about any of them beyond their names and faces.
They will completely master a subject that interests them
Their desire to be in control of themselves makes them take responsibility for their actions
They are usually confident in their ideas, and know instinctively when they are right about something

Potential Weaknesses
They have short attention spans-- not true.
They get bored easily with details or routine tasks-- routine I could take...the more routine it was, the better I could daydream while I did it.
They won't put any effort into doing something that doesn't interest them-- I think I sometimes put a lot of effort into things that didn't interest me directly, if I thought it was for a good purpose.
They frequently don't hear people-- Oh, I heard; I just didn't care enough to respond...
Once they have made up their mind about something, they can be very stubborn about it
They ignore details -- but not on purpose!
They are unsettled by change, and don't usually adapt well to new situations
They're uncomfortable and somewhat overwhelmed by large groups
They are rather unaware of their environment, and seem "out of it"
They are rather self-centered, and may be unaware of how their actions or words affect others
They can be controlling and bossy-- only with my younger siblings, though
Although they come up with ideas easily, they don't do as well implementing their ideas
