I think we're skating around the more pressing question here. Ie, would mean and snobby fat become popular if it were nice?

Think about it.

Regina George was still mean and snobby when she gained weight :p

I've found that people who are mean and snobby are usually spoiled and/or insecure anyways, no matter what their body type is.

Or would she become even more mean and snobby?
If being fat attracts some more people then probably won't change at all.

Over the years as we grow older, women I know have fallen into 3 categories when it comes to loosing attractiveness.

1. Becoming nicer (maturing actually, that's normal over age)
2. Staying almost the same
3. Becoming terrible bitter people

I think they'd stay popular.

I wouldn't underestimate others' abilities to be intimidated and influenced.

There are mean fat people, so fat doesn't equal nice.

Some people become nicer after gaining insight into the lives of less fortunate people. Many different experiences could provide this insight. It doesn't have to be getting fat.

Yeah, weight it's not how you measure niceness: as usual, look and character are different things. It's true that you can change your attitude after something important happened to you but change starts from the person.

In the end if a person is mean and wants to stay mean will stay mean, fat or not.
