Two wings, you say? Well, I've got two w1s following me around, lol. Also got a 5w6 but as you can see, I rarely pay it any mind.
Enneagrams are probably the trickiest type to figure out, since they're based on fears and such, and we're not keen on our own weaknesses most of the time. First time I heard of someone having two wings on the same type, but hey, sounds legit. If it works for you, that's what matters most.
And if we're not friends on this silly site yet, I will rectify that shortly.
As for type 2s, well mine has the w1. I'll admit type 3s and type 7s are the ones I know the least about, let alone their wings. But your hubby picked you, so he can't be that bad.
Edit/Addition! Ha! We are friends! I thought so!
I've read all of three of Riso/Hudson's Enneagram books, and some of their others.
They are our modern day Enneagram pioneers, and say that for a few--especially those who grew up as I did, say, with alcoholic parents, other dysfunction, we may have two wings; that some of us "do" have two, but I don't recall them putting the wings on either side of the Basic Personality.
Seems by memory, which isn't trustworthy right now (I am tired) they would put it more like the tri-type: 415, for example.
They also point out how many 6s mistype as 4s, and I am definitely a 6, so I am still studying. I like closure but not the wrong door.
You'd like my husband; very few people don't. He's human, got flaws, but overall, he's so much more likable than I am; so giving, on the go, extraverted doer.
Tomorrow morning he'll be at his church making hash browns for their prayer breakfast (I don't attend); then after, we'll go to a nearby small town for exploration: That's The Plan, anyway: I had an idea he likes:
Every pay period, we'll pick a town within 40 miles or minutes--whichever is closer, because of my health problems, and go check it out.
We're going back to one we visited last month--we got there too late on a Sunday and their only thrift store closed 45 minutes after we got there so I didn't get to look "all" around which I enjoy.
You and I are friends, even "officially"; I'm glad you still like me enough to want to add me if we weren't.
On the personality forum I used to belong to--before they had a platform change that killed "Friendship" and changed it to "Follow" which I loathed, I had over 240 friends; crazy business...
I got a lot of them by befriending new people to help them settle in, and then never Unfriended them as I didn't want them to feel as though they'd done something wrong.
I also didn't want to have to explain that to have so many friends made keeping in touch with the ones I was truly close to nearly impossible, and terribly time-consuming to track them 'in a good way,' i.e. games they were playing in, troubles they were having, celebrations to say "way to go" et cetera.
Before I came here; after the other site changed platforms and Friends' Lists were gone, I had 60 or so Follow/Followers (more manageable) because I began to treat it--and convey that I was treating it--the same as Friends: No gurus and disciples; not my thing: Reciprocal or fuh-get-a-bowt-it.
I type fast; better say, goodnight, and sleep well.
ADDITION on April 9 2017: Yes, the wings are on each side, so I am 5 (Basic Personality) with a 4 and a 6 wing, or only a 6 masquerading as a 4, i.e. plain 5w6.
