My question is: What is your ideal society?

If you had the ability to create a society from scratch or change the current one, what would be some of the things you would implement / take away?

I'll start off:

I would start off by removing 9 - 5 jobs, and replacing them with jobs that are started at the time a person wishes. Which could potentially rid of the traffic jams that are created because of a surge of people on the road from 9 - 5 jobs.

I would get rid of the concept of marriage, it seems too burdening to deal with in the long run (never married btw).

Schools need to be more flexible (class material and teaching wise) and aware of the negative impacts they have on children. Mistakes in school shouldn't be so deadly.

I feel like the whole concept of love is flawed. It is not logical (which is the beauty of it), but it is entirely subjective. The gender roles imposed by society is destroying chances at love (guy approach girls). I know of two bffs fighting each other because one friend like a boy for a really long time and the other started dating him (without prior knowledge that the former liked the one guy). That doesn't make sense to me.
-> I would change it so the gender roles do not a play a role society but are a thing of the past.

A place where the pizzas run and play would be my ideal society.

Well, I'm anti-civ and that about sums it up. I expect the end of civilization to solve every serious, large-scale problem created by human foibles because those problems can't exist without civilization's infrastructure.

I can't envision an ideal society or at least I can't imagine how anyone would go about making it real. I can only imagine the result, not the process/method of arriving there.

As such I can only say, in all honesty, that a society that, however it got there, that maximized freedom without tearing itself apart and created the least amount of conflict in general sounds like a nice dream — or a horrifying nightmare since achieving that would probably require removing/limiting free will or something else to that effect.

-Better education systems teaching open mindness and critical thinking

-serious info by social media, not bullshit and corruption

-State Organisations that would take care of people with issues (health problems, no family, etc.) and would give them equal chances to contribute.

-A way that would ensure everyone would need to work to get somewhere, like an equal starting point from where everyone according to their abilities and hard work would reach higher on the ladder.

-People would have different education and treatment according to their differences until they are able to all have equal promising futures. Because education currently is good for some and bad for others who are unable to show their talents.

-Equal chances in general. Thats the hardest reality to achieve. In my mind equality == Equal chances.

The usual pitfall of ideal societies:

F.A. Hayek: Fatal Conceit said:
The information that individuals or organisations can use to adapt to the unknown is necessarily partial, and is conveyed by signals (e.g., prices) through long chains of individuals, each person passing on in modified form a combination of streams of abstract market signals. Nonetheless, the whole structure of activities tends to adapt, through these partial and fragmentary signals, to conditions foreseen by and known to no individual, even if this adaptation is never perfect. That is why this structure survives, and why those who use it also survive and prosper.

Whereas, in fact, specialised students, even after generations of effort, find it exceedingly difficult to explain such matters, and cannot agree on what are the causes or what will be the effects of particular events. The curious task of economics is to demonstrate to men how little they really know about what they imagine they can design.

To the naive mind that can conceive of order only as the product of deliberate arrangement, it may seem absurd that in complex conditions order, and adaptation to the unknown, can be achieved more effectively by decentralizing decisions and that a division of authority will actually extend the possibility of overall order. Yet that decentralization actually leads to more information being taken into account.

- Reform of systems so distributing of resources and processwork becomes more effective.
- INTPs are no longer required to obtain formal education. But they will be chained to daytime jobs analysing discrepancies in business frameworks.
- Work based on targets (good ones), not hours clocked.
Leaving more time for chilling on the beach.
- Free nicotine for intuitives, weed for sensors. Get shit done you lazy N bastards.
- But flotation tanks for everyone.
- Bulldozing and pre-emptive manipulation courses for left-wing types so they'll sound less starry-eyed, more alpha to deal with fearmongerers like Trump.
- Quotas on meat consumption to prevent unnecessary slaughter/waste. Not too harsh but I mean the huge buffets etc
- Affordable healthy non-processed food for everyone + food education. If people still decide to damage their brain with McD it's a choice. Survival of the fittest will prevail.
- MBTI dating service so people stop going loopy after being hurt too many times.
- People will be fined for camel toes, bum cleavage, wearing socks and slippers. Not that many rules for clothing though, the more disgusting people go, the easier it will be to discard them as potential mates.
- Only NTs get to wear fedora hats. And You Must Earn The Right to wear them.
- We'll wear them to management meetings.
- ...Or on our talk show.
- Unhealthy ENTJ will be sent to Esalen for reprogramming.
- To hell with casual Friday. ESTPs shall be deployed on Fridays to get the party started. We want fun.

Somewhere "competence" is in abundance. Reaching a hospital should mean that there's a ~100 % chance for full recovery in reasonable time. Schools should be able to focus and augment each individual's growth, not hamper it or indoctrinate. Law enforcement will never give the public reason to distrust. Media will present themselves without bias. "Justice" will be removed from everyone's vocabulary.

- Mass reduction of bureaucracy
- No trash TV
- Entire cities participate in tag.

- Everyone is strongly encouraged to at some point in their life to go on a 25 mile walk on a secluded trail with just their thoughts.

- People can't build houses on tops of hills or mountains where it screws up everyone else's beautiful view.

My ideal society is a libertarian paradise. People can do whatever the fuck they want provided that it doesn't hurt other people. There would be a completely free market causing monopolies to crash. We wouldn't bail failed companies out. People wouldn't be held in poverty by a system keeping them that way.

In other news, I married a god damned socialist.

What's more free than abolishing private property?
