Seems to pop up every few years, in a new ad campaign. It seems Bruce is a bit of a sell-out.
My sister had her "Fosters experience" when living in the US and someone thought an Australian beer would be more accommodating. I believe she explained the concept of 'made for export for less discerning tastes' with extraordinary tact.
You can get Tim Tams in the USA (though can be hard to find in some states), but the Australian ones are still better:
