    ~Makeup & Nails ~

Hey there, ladies (and a few gentlemen, too!)~

Let's discuss make up, cosmetics, nail polish, nail art, or anything pertaining to beauty! What are your favorite brands? What kind of looks do you like to create? Do you love bold and daring looks, or do you like to look sweet and natural? Do you love dolly gyaru or ulzzang makeup? What's your thing? :) Let's discuss! Maybe we can even discover some interesting preferences based on personality type, too!

Well, I don't use makeup and the only use I have for nail polish is having fun painting it on and then immediately wiping it off with cotton balls...

I'm using Urban Decay Perversion eyeliner, but I know some people don't like it because it has a rep for smudging easily.

I saw this lady who's eyes (because of eyeshadow) looked like hummingbirds. They were bright green/blue and magneta. I still love those colors. She looked like a fucking hummingbird (just have to emphasize that).

She was a thirties-ish waitress from Thailand.

I just wear whatever I feel like. Like recently I decided I wanted to wear blue--so I found the closest thing to what I wanted. My strongest impulses were to wear gold or blue eyeshadow. LOL--yellow and blue is one of my favorite color combinations so it makes sense.

I thought that brand "too faced" was a joke until I looked it up online. Funny name.

But smudging is sexy--that makes me want to try it.

:) I am fine with the smudging, and it's good for smoky eyes. For me, it's more that it's really easy to use the pencil up quickly, and it prices at around $21

When I was over in Thailand, one of my most fun purchases was USD 2.50 for a bottle of gold nail polish. I couldn't really find it easily over here at the time, and never so cheap.

They definitely love their bright colors over there.

:) yup, it's for real. I have a Too Faced bronzer, but i don't really use it much.

There's a lot of interesting higher-end makeups in the chains, I just have had to be careful because my budget isn't set up to spend that much money on makeup.

I love Urban Decay liners! Their pencil liner is the only one that will stay put on my lid and won't smudge or transfer to my brow bone. (Even with primer, powder, setting with eyeshadow, almost every other pencil liner ends up leaving an imprint on my brow bone. Sad times with deep-set eyes!) Such a shame it's so expensive. :(

Asian brands make the best nail polish! When I was living in Singapore, I was hooked on Etude House nail polish. It was so cheap - around $2.50 as well - and it went on so creamy and opaque! The Faceshop also has amazing nail polish, too. Even with the nice brands here, like China Glaze and OPI, I just can't find nail polish I like as much as the cheap stuff from the Korean brands. My nails looked fabulous over there, not so much since I'm back in the states, haha!

Too Faced and Benefit have the cutest packaging (for US brands!)... I'm not too big on the brands themselves, but they are absolutely gorgeous to look at! I have to resist buying them based on the packaging alone! One of my favorite brands (based on performance) is Clinique - they have the most amazing and moisturizing lip products! I also love 100percentpure - they also have all natural, fruit pigmented cosmetics with very beautiful packaging. Their blush compacts remind me of Sailor Moon almost, and their products are so pigmented!

Oh, that sounds sultry! Something like this would be sexy! This is so pretty, too - reminds me of a starry night sky. :)

When it comes to make-up, brands like Avon and Estee Lauder is Ok for me, and some local brands. I don 't have to wear the uber expensive make-up brands. And I don't like Chinese brands.

As for the looks, it depends on my mood. Sweet and natural, barely there make-up, or sometimes I just wear the foundation and no make-up. I look good in the latter.

When I'm in the mood, I like to wear red lipstick and mascara with pencil eyeliner at the bottom eyelid. And a light touch of blush. I get so many attention and "look backs" when I wear this kind of look.

Sometimes I wear smoky eyes and pink lipstick, though pink lipstick looks unflattering to me. I opt for peach lipgloss instead.

Many people said that I look best in a light make up. Foundation with eye liner, light peach blush and, peach lipgloss.

As for the nails, I'm collecting different colors, but I only wear nail polish on feet (pedicure) and not on hands, 'cause I feel dirty having manicure, and it's pointless to have manicure because I always wash my hands.

I haven't tried nail art but I think it's interesting.

Hmm I usually don't use makeup, since I'm lazy, thought I still like to do it occasionally. :) I think that it's like painting our faces, and I do like to look pretty sometimes. The simplest makeup would be just mascara, thought eyeliner is also used. I don't have any brand of mascara since I'm still finding out which is the best for me, as each time I get one it lasts for eternity lol, thought there was one I liked, it was silver (diamond dust), and it was so pretty. :3
There are times I do the eyelashes permanent curling that lasts for around 2 months, since my lashes are too straight. :(

By the way, anyone here uses colored lenses? I used them in the past, and now I've just ordered some to use occasionally. XD

As for the nails, I like painting them in natural pink color with some sticker on it. It looks pretty, thought it is sooo troublesome and one careless move and I ruin the process. ~_~ There are some nail paints that dries in a minute, and they are cool. :)
